  • a heart-warming five-star read

Accidental Family by Sasha Summers a heart-warming five-star read. This was my first read by this author, but I really enjoyed the style of writing and will be going back to read more. This was such a multi-layered story; each character plays a different part of the story and adds a different aspect. Felicity could have been worn down and despaired, but she was not, she was so much more, anyone else in her situation would be. But she wasn’t the character that I felt most for in this story, that honour went to Nick, he left me in wonder, I am hopeful that we will hear more from this accidental family, as there is so much more I would love to hear.

  • An Accidental Fave

Oh my, this book came out of nowhere and hit me in the feels. I couldn't put it down. From the first page all the way till the end I was invested in this accidental family. Felicity is the one who holds her family together ever since her ex-husband walked out on their family. Graham was her husband former business partner and her best friends husband, while her marriage was falling apart his wife was dying. Now their back in each other life after another loss. They find themselves slowly leaning on one another. and realizing they might just want to be more than friends. Of course, there are a lot of complications they have to navigate. But it is a start to a new beginning. I hope the author has plans for more books in this series. I want more from all of these characters. Braden and Charity. Owen and Honor. Nick. Diana. Now I need to go pre-order a copy of this book! Read it, I think you'll like it! ARC provided by Entangled Publishing via NetGalley

  • A touching and sweet story.

Accidentally Family is my first introduction to Sasha Summers, and what a wonderful introduction it was. As this was an enjoyable, touching, and sweet story. That evoked plenty of warm feelings, a few tears, and some feel good moments. And it was wonderfully well written, and plotted and I certainly felt Ms Summers was writing from the heart. Would happily recommend. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review**

  • Loved this family romance!

Thanks to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for the e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review. Accidentally Family by Sasha Summers is exactly what I look for in a family based romance. Sasha Summers provides us with a wonderful cast of characters. Felicity is a divorced mother of two teenagers, Honor and Nick. All three are struggling with the death of Felicity's ex-husband. Felicity is the quintessential mom, making the best out of a horrible situation. Honor is a new graduate and the peacemaker of the family. Nick is sixteen and has never gotten over his father's leaving his family behind for another woman. We also meet Graham, former partner of Felicity's ex-husband, and an old family friend. He does his best to support Felicity and her children during this difficult time. He has his own struggles however with his teenage daughter, Diana, who has never really gotten over the death of her mother to cancer. Finally we meet Charity, Felicity's younger sister. I love Charity. She's a wild free spirit who is dealing with her own issues but is there 100% to support Felicity and her family. I loved how the story is told from multiple points of view. The multiple perspectives provide a depth to the story that allows the reader to really understand what is going on in any given situation. Ms. Summers delves into some difficult topics and being able to understand the emotions everyone is feeling really brought the story to life. Overall I think this book would be a great choice for people who love classic romances. It would also be great for those who enjoy character driven books. If you are a person who isn't fond of family based romances, I would skip this one.

  • Absolutely stunning family-focused romance!

Make sure you have plenty of tissues on hand for this slice of heartbreaking family life packaged inside a swoony, life-affirming romance. The setting is a charming small town in Texas, with all the assorted community assets in full splendor. In addition to the breathtaking love story between Felicity and Graham, we also get to know several other couples-in-the-making. Each of these side stories is delightful and, I hope, a prelude to future stories from this author. The writing here is simply sublime. When Nick and Jack finally met, the way that little boy reacted to seeing his brother just melted my heart! I cried real tears and had to stop reading to absorb it all. The authenticity of the teenagers is pure genius, and the budding romance between Honor and Owen was so powerful, even in its infancy. The author gave us third-person omniscient POVs from all the main characters, resulting in a deep realism and emotional sincerity that is rarely seen. Understanding the teenagers from both their and their parents' viewpoints was absolutely brilliant. Reading this felt like I was walking through the family tragedy and triumph together with these people. It’s a rare book that can make fictional characters come alive so well. This is literary perfection, a romance with a family drama that fills every longing of the heart. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
