  • loved it!

Ace was a great 5 star read. I couldn’t wait to get started on this book. I was so excited to get Ace and Violet’s story. Violet met Ace while she was working at the diner. He also arrested her husband for physically attacking and beating Violet at the diner. There is something about Ace that really attracts Violet. He’s kind and caring. Ace helps Violet get a new place to live right next door to him. She is also in the process of getting a divorce and is trying to respect boundaries with Ace until she is free to be all his. These two were very strong willed, not sure I could have resisted like they did. We get to see not only Violet’s live be a little bit into Ace’s as well as a police officer. Ace was the perfect gentleman and really cared about and respected Violet. He is a true hot alpha male. Violet is a very strong woman to go through what she has. One thing is for sure, I will figure out who I am, or I’ll die trying. - Violet I really enjoyed this book, we not only get the romance between Violet and Ace but we get a little bit of mystery with the moonshine again. All of the secondary characters were great. I loved seeing the characters from the previous books in the series. I can’t help but want to read more from these two but I was very happy with the ending. Laramie Briscoe has once again pulled me right in with her writing. I can’t wait to read Menace Book 5 in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

  • ACE & V

I have been waiting patiently for this book since we first got a glimpse of Violet and Anthony in book 3 of this dynamite series. Anthony“Ace”Bailey is a thrill seeker in my book and was never one for following the rules even when it came to a ring on someone's finger and unhappiness shining in her eyes. Violet Miller has gone through a traumatic experience being attacked by her husband but its nothing compared to the abuse she has suffered for years. Enter Ace who puts a stop to it and arrest her husband but he's also determined to be there for her and to take his chance once she has healed. This pair is made for each other and you see glimpses throughout the story whenever they are together. When they finally come together its like magic because it completely enchants you. I LOVE THIS series and this is totally my favorite couple!!!!

  • Don't let the past keep you from having it all..

I never thought I would have ended up being the proverbial doormat; married to a useless loser, or the fact things could have ended on a different note. I'm more then ready to go home and try and salvage some of my wounded pride however I'm like a nursery rhyme but unlike Humpty Dumpty my pieces can go back together. Violet, or Vi was a waitress who worked really hard at the diner where anyone an everyone ate in our town. The first time I laid eyes on her I totally ignored the obvious because it was quite clear at least to me she wasn't being treated right nor was she happy. The silence was almost deafening and the pain overwhelming but it was his things; everywhere I looked nothing but his possessions while he had everything and I had next to nothing. Because to him I had been exactly that but nope no more I am something now all I have to is prove it. Screaming and yelling like a true banshee it's spring cleaning time and it's time for him to vacate my house. Now Ace has become my greatest champion in my darkest hours and he's still standing beside me even when I don't really understand why? Yes, I'm scared and confused but I truly want to be a stronger person I'm just like ever woman I want to wanted by a good man and I want to believe him when he whispers sweet nothing's in my ear. Ace, can be the most stubborn man I've ever meet so even thought I'm pretty sure his idea won't amount to anything I'm willing to try. Okay so I was wrong and he was totally right on the money. Weddings.. Location .. Put them together and yep our friends are finally having the wedding the deserve surrounded by everyone who loves them. Who know sharing a room would lead my to express myself with so many words I'd long to share with her but also one amazing kiss. Life doesn't ask if you can handle this or that and I know that poor kid feels so darn guilty but he's trashing his future which is bad enough but what's worse I warned him once so now I'm going to have to clue his dad in on the fact his son is messing up. Sometimes I think I'm going insane but I know how important being free and finished with that chapter in her life before we move on to the next one in ours.
