    Thanks for your feedback!

An outstanding sci-fi romance by Tymber Dalton!

It's the distant future. Earth has colonized far out into the known galaxy. Its citizens, now known as Terrans, have started a vicious war against the Algonquan people, now ongoing for over 15 years. The Terrans have taken such heavy casualties and losses that life as it used to be has ceased to exist. Marriage is nearly nonexistent. The Terran military is the driving force behind all laws. Children only exist to serve the government. Unless they possess great wealth and influence, all men are drafted to serve in the military, willingly or not. Women are nothing more than breeders. Dale is a member of the Terran military. He despises his existence but is terrified of the Algonquans. So when he's taken prisoner by the enemy, he's panic-stricken. He's heard stories of the atrocities visited on Terran prisoners. He knows what the Terrans do to Algonquans unlucky enough to be captured. He feels his life is over. But what happens when you learn that everything's not what you expected? What if the enemy really isn't the enemy? How do you cope when you learn that everything you've been taught your entire life could be based on lies? Who do you trust? Dale is so unsure, fearful, and frightened. But when he meets Mark, a fellow prisoner, a spark of hope begins to grow. Can the two men not just survive, but actually thrive, in a civilization that's totally alien and nothing like either expected? It won't be easy. But nothing worthwhile ever is. Is it possible that Dale, Mark, and the other Terran prisoners have a chance at a life they never expected? Or are appearances truly that deceiving? Are the Algonquans master manipulators. Or is there a possibility that life holds far more than any of them could have ever imagined? Acquainted With the Night is a story full of heartache, despair, loss, sadness, and loneliness. But it's also filled with love, joy, humor, happiness, resilience, tolerance, and so much more. It's a powerful story of life, loss, family, friends, connection, and, most of all, the ultimate power of love to conquer all. This is another standalone novel and is the perfect sci-fi romance. I've read this book so many times, and each time the story fills me with the same joy, laughter, sadness, and tears I felt the first time. Keep your box of tissues handy. You'll need it! Although set in the distant future, Acquainted With the Night has characters that are captivating and totally believable. The storyline is unique but still totally relevant to today's world. The interactions between the characters, major and minor, are engaging and authentic. I was totally pulled into the story from page one. The plot, characters, deep emotions, and genuineness of the story held me captive until the last word. Tymber Dalton is brilliant! Her writing is imaginative, ingenious, and inventive. As I've stated many times, she's a keen observer of life. She transforms her observations into believable, sympathetic, totally fascinating characters. She brings her own life experience and understanding of human nature to every book she writes regardless of genre. I give Acquainted With the Night my highest recommendation without reservation. This is an exceptional book. I am sincere when I say Tymber Dalton is truly one of the most talented authors I've ever read! Thank you, Ms. Dalton, for giving us yet another exceptional reading experience. One final note. Please be an informed reader/consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. USE THESE RESOURCES. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice. Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
