    Thanks for your feedback!

    Such ludicrous fun

To be completely honest, the main reason I downloaded and read this book was that it was free. Also, I did like the sound of the title, having had a few jobs of doom myself. Alan Lennox and his housemates are an odd assortment of characters, covering varied ethnicities, sexualities and genders, yet it doesn't feel tokenistic. They go through ridiculous situations, but as a reader I didn't feel too much sickening dread, even though I still cared about these characters. I really enjoyed the way that the clues were peppered throughout the story from beginning to end. It hinted at just enough to keep you interested without making the truth too obvious. I was hooked from the first or second page and just had to keep pushing through. I will never look at social media in the same light. I think I will be buying the next books in the series.

Fun, easy read for the modern horror fan

The TEMP JOB OF DOOM was the perfect book to kickstart my vacation. It was fun to read and quick to get through, completely worth it. Each of the characters are quirky and set for development in his other novels. The story was smooth but made modern by the dialogue of YA in New York. Perhaps a bit predictable, but what horror novel is not. I would certainly recommend giving this novel a go.

Hooked by the title, the hooked by the book.

Wow! Terrifying, funny, deep, sad, clever, and terrifying again! A great mix of characters and a complicated plot to keep you reading (but maybe not at bed time). Only knocked of the one star because - hmm not sure- maybe the characters were a bit to stereotypical or maybe the clever plot came over as a bit too confusing. Anyway not important - it's a great read

    Witt, scary, gripping, great

Characters full of life. Unpredictble, making me laugh and gasp. Highly recommended. Often kept me awake to turn the next page.
