hours I will never get back

I got the series cheap, based on the descriptions. I couldn't finish the first volume. It's written like it was done by a teenager. I dry-heaved several times, but I finally threw up in my mouth when Arenson (or his kid) described the heavy-worlder as slow and clumsy. To thrive on a higher-gravity world, he would have needed to be exactly the opposite; he would need reaction time and speed many times better than ordinary humans just to stay balanced and upright and to catch anything that started to topple or fall. I gave up. The rest of the first book, along with the remainder of the second and third, will go unread. Juvenile readers deserve better than juvenile writing.

    Fun Romp Around the Stars

I thought Book 1 was great and wasn't sure that 2& 3 could live up to it but they did. A flying dragon, a geisha android, and a knight in shiny armour are just a few of the well written cast of characters that continuously save "humanity" from mal-intentioned aliens. Everyone from 10 to 92 will laugh and cry as the heroes go from job to job. No sex, no swearing, but oodles of fun.

    Alien Hunters trilogy

The alien hunters trilogy is a very readable and entertaining set of sci-fi stories involving the many adventures of a band misfits brought together by cosmic fate. The three novels have a lot of humour, suspense and tragedy without the need to baffle the reader with the latest scientific theories.

    The Alien Hunters

Not for me, this series, although I can see a fine lot of reading for some of the younger generation. This is a story of a brave few who do what the name says, hunt aliens for hire only it's costly..
