Honest Look at a Difficult Topic

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. As parents, we like to think we have a pretty good handle on things; reading Kevin and Alex's completely different views of a common situation tells us otherwise. I love that the chapters were written separately . It gives readers a unique look at the relationship between a father and son, or any parent and their child. Very well written, and hopefully this will help parents and kids deal with their differences in a healthy, respectful way. No child should ever be kicked out of the house, or shamed for something they did not or could not choose.

    All out

Kevins ability to accept his sons truth, shows what a real man and father he really is. This is a book every parent should read when a child shows strength to share something he or she knows may come between the loving relationship they could lose.

Marvelous read could not put it down

Marvelous insight into a father son relationship. Both love each other but due to their own personal internal selves unable to connect. A real eye opener how deep the disconnect can be. As a gay man it rang true to the whole internal turmoil one experiences as a young person coming to terms with their own confusing sexuality. A wonderful character study. Bravo
