    Second Chance

This is the first book in the Sunnydale Days series. I have read multiple books from the author and once again she has written a good story. This book can be read as a standalone. The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that info here. The author did a good job of describing the setting of Caseville, Michigan as well as Sunnydale Farm and what they do. The main characters of Hailey, Nate, and his daughter Lori. It's been eight years. Will they take a second chance with each other? I  enjoyed this book and I think you will too! I look forward to reading more books in this series.

    A gentle second chances romance

This sweet, second-chances romance speaks of ordinary people in an ordinary small town with decisions to make and difficulties to overcome. Because of choices that she has made, Hailey returns to her home town hurting and disappointed with life in general, but also having to deal with a difficult family matter. It would seem to her that decisions have been taken out of her hands, magnifying the feeling that she is an outsider. When Nate hears that Hailey is back in Caseville, old wounds are reopened but despite his best intentions he cannot stay away from her. The fact that he has a small daughter who needs his protection is a motivating factor not to let Hailey back into his life, but the teenage attraction is as flammable as ever and when they clear the air between them, Nate and Hailey find they cannot avoid their connection. Once again decisions are made for Hailey and it is only when is faced with the hopes and dreams of her well-meaning family for her, that Hailey takes a firm hold of her life and makes her own choices. All That's Unspoken is a clean and enjoyable romance, one that can be read by almost anyone. The language flows smoothly and despite the fact that it is part of a series, it is a stand-alone. I enjoyed all the characters in the book and the fact that despite their differences, they stood together and sought the best for one another. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Second chance love gets me every time

Like so many young couples in high school with young love they take it and run but seeing things in a different way. Hailey wanted out of the small town life she lived. Nate just went with the flow knowing they would be together no matter what. One hot night of passion that last a life time doesn’t hold her back. She leaves town with no good bye, yes she loves him but he will not hold her back. Nate is devastated. Love is lost, ties are broken and their lives go in different directions. Nate left town to but with the hand he was dealt he wasn’t long before he came home. With Hailey back in town for family reasons they now come face to face. Will old love be enough to keep her in town this time or will she take off running again. There is something about second chance love that gets me right in the heart. I think most of us all wish at some point in our lives for that second chance to come our way. It seem faith knows what is best as we move on to our new life, new love, everything seems to turn out pretty good. But for the ones that get that second chance it is a powerful story that pulls us in giving us a smile and a feeling of peace. With Hailey coming home and see Nate again it makes her rethink her choices. With the pitfalls that have come her way it makes her take a look at the way things were and how they now are. What if she didn’t run how would their live have been today. A lot of thought went into the making of this story looking at things from all angles. It is beautifully written pulling the reader in. I had no trouble feeling the turmoil of each character, the pain and sorrow along with the what ifs. I love the role revisal with Nate being the single parent trying to do what is best for his daughter and Hailey being the driven one with a career. It is a very touching story of a father and daughter as well as old loves finding what the true meaning of love and family is all about. It is a story that reaches right in to your heart giving you sorrow, smiles and a feeling of peace as the story unfolds bring so much love and passion with it you feel it to your bones. I really enjoyed the twists and turns as things came to light. The author kept me hooked from start to finish with a delightful story that is a page turner.

    Scores a bulls-eye shot.

What originally drew me to All That's Unspoken is that it takes place in my home state of Michigan. That may have been the instant appeal, but it turns out that Hailey and Nate were a life lesson. Ms. Phillips tackles subjects that are as heartbreaking as they are relate-able. Subjects like loss, grief, the dynamic drama of family and the hard choices like risking the heart and letting go of the past. Both Hailey and Nate have a great deal to lose but even more to gain, if they grab hold of the second chance fate has bestowed upon them. A beautifully presented circle of life tale that aims for the heart and scores a bulls-eye shot.
