  • Amazing book!

This book is very unique in it's own way and is AMAZING! I couldn't put it down; not once! When I was first introduced to it, it sounded like a "meh" kind of book. I'm glad my friend forced me to read it cause if I didn't, I would've regretted it greatly. It is a pretty thick book, but wow, the plot and EVERYTHING, was beautifully written!

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Grew on me as I read - loved the book by the end

So many areas you examine. Personal lives between parents and children; between community members; between cultures. Different insight into how the Nazi movement affected the German families themselves, especially the children and how brutal it was even for their own people. How people get involved in a brutal regime for so many different reasons and what it takes out of most of them as human beings. As the characters were developed the story became more and more powerful and ones attachments to them and their trials more moving. Strong vs weak; physically, mentally. Overcoming challenges; physically, mentally. I ended up loving this book and the insights provided on so many levels.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Beautiful Tale

My first-read book of 2015 -- and may be the best for the rest of the year. Beautifully written, compelling tale.
