    Star carrier

An evolved plot with an interesting concept of using dark matter as an intelligent life form. The humans grew into a fighting force after moving 400 hundred thousand years into the future. The combat was well done and believeable.

Excellent read, begging for next in series!

Upon completing, immediately went looking for Book 2! Not sure why it is referred to as Book 2? Great story line, with multiple lines of drama running through from robotic mistress to dark matter based super computers to the age old arguments of Republic vs Democratic leadership styles! Have come to rely on Ian Douglas's stories for entertainment, so, not having the next chapter to go to a causing with-drawl! Got to find the next book.....................

    Hard to get through

Having never read any of Ian Douglas' previous works, I had difficulty getting thru the techno and military babble. Until the last three chapters, I was not sure if would even finish this book much less read the next book. I am reserving complete judgement until reading other pieces of this author's works.

    Great reading

This is the first Ian Douglas book I’ve read and it was excellent. First book in a long time that I couldn’t put down. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
