    Nice addition to the series

An Ill Wind is the sixth book in the Witches of Canyon Road series. It can be read standalone as Ms. Pope does not require you to have read the previous books to enjoy this book but having some knowledge of the previous books is an advantage. I found it an excellent addition to the series as Ms. Pope continues to build on the story line from the previous books. Some loose ends from the earlier books are neatly tied up but she also unties some and adds a few more in this book. Cassandra Sandoval and Tony Castillo are given a pretty straight forward task -- collect a set of grimoires and return them to their rightful place. But as expected, nothing goes right for the Castillos and the Sandovals the first or even second time around. The story pulled me in, the twists keep me interested to the last page. An amazing read. Left me feeling satisfied and waiting for the next book.

    Amazing Book

Christine Pope is one "Adventurous" Lady. Her writing style, and imagination can keep me busy for hours. Things are really getting interesting now in Book 6 “An Ill Wind” of The Witches of Canyon Road series. I must say this is an amazing continuation of what happened to the dangerous stolen de la Paz Grimoires. Packed with twists, magic, and steamy romance this book definitely delivers. With the only clue being a slimy residue reeking of Escobar magic it takes Tony Castillo and Cassandra Sandoval across several Witches Clan’s territories. They travel to find the Escobar warlock and get the dangerous books out of the wrong hands. The characters develop throughout as you see them getting romantically closer. I totally recommend this book and series but you must read the previous books in order to understand the full concept of the stories.

    So good

Another wonderful read from Christine Pope in the Witches of Canyon Road series. As with the other books in the series, this can be read as a stand alone as she explains the basics of the other books in the new book. This time we learned more about Tony Castillo, who happens to be Rafe’s cousin. Finally we deal more with the books that have haunted the Castillo clan since the first book in this series. We follow Tony and Cassandra Sandoval, of the de la Paz clan, as they reclaim the stolen books. The pair must work together in search of the books and as they get to know one another they begin to fall for each other. A great read that was enjoyable, Tony was one of those characters that I enjoyed in the other books. I found this book to be wonderful, so I highly recommend. I did receive an ARC.
