  • Amazing story, difficult to follow

As someone with very little understanding of the issues in the Middle East, this book was confusing. I really wanted to come away with a better understanding of the situation there, but found myself needing to have a chart or road map of the two sides. Perhaps with more visuals available, a table or chart, like a family tree or something that showed not only the family connections but also drew out the political affiliations would have helped a lot. A reader with more of a preliminary understanding of the MiddleEast and not having to sort through all of that, would be able to appreciate the intricacies of what was happening through the lives of these two women. Add to that the awkward phrasing used by the author and I found myself having to re-read many sentences when a well placed comma would have eased the process. This story has great potential. It is truly extraordinary.

    Thanks for your feedback!
