Another great read by Katee Robert

I love Katee Robert and the O'Malley series is definitely one of my favorites :) So of course it is not a surprise that I jumped at the opportunity to review the latest instalment in the series. Cillian has always been kind of an enigma for me. From being the party boy of the family during the first book (mostly the beginning) he changes to being the brooding and closed off brother that keeps everything inside and carries a lot of pain and blame in his heart. But even that is not something that everyone sees. He hides it well, and for quite a while after the tragedy that changed his life, his family still thinks of him as the irresponsible and care for nothing man that loves to party and flirt (and more) with women. The only person who really sees the shadows under his eyes and the demons that chase him, is the one person that doesn't want to have anything to do with him. Olivia Rashidi, the new employee of the bar Cillian frequents. Olivia has her own demons chasing her and her own skeletons in her closet. And the last thing she wants in her life is another man connected, whose family is connected to the crime life. But, as we all know, plans never work out as we want them to be. The connection between Cillian and Olivia is undeniable and sparks fly every single time they are close to each other. With Olivia, Cillian can be himself and show her the real him. The vulnerable soul, that carries the weight of the world and the guilt for his brother's death. It is not easy but these two scarred souls find peace and understanding in each other. And added to their scorching chemistry, it grows into something more. Something worth fighting for. But as you would expect from a Katee Robert book, danger is not far behind. And it can cost Cillian and Olivia everything they have. During the whole story, the action is fast paced and intriguing. You never know what will happen next. It really caught me form the first page and it didn't let me go until the end. I enjoyed every single second of it. The characters are complex and very well developed. I was rooting for them from the very start ;) So, If I have to summarise, I loved this book. It was fast paced, suspenseful, full with danger, heartbreak, healing and romance. Pretty much it had everything that makes a story great. It is definitely a must read. so don't waste even a second and #oneclick this incredible story :)

    Hot and more

This is book # 3 in The O'Malleys series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading the series in order. Olivia and Cillian are flying sparks all over the room when they are both in it. She just does not want to have anything to do with him or his family. Been there, done that. Cillian cannot escape the feeling he has for her. The attraction both physical and other are immediate. He thinks he can talk her into more, little does he know.... Such an amazing story! The characters have a lot to offer since they are rich and deep. I loved that this book held many surprises, and a few familiar faces as well. Good series. I hope we see more and I cannot wait for the next book. ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publisher in exchange for an honest review.

    My fav O'Malley yet!

4 1/2 STARS! In Book 3 of her The O'Malleys series, Katee Robert brings us Cillian's story. He is my favorite O'Malley yet, and I really enjoyed getting to know the real him! Another hunky O'Malley is on the scene as we meet Cillian. He's dark and drained after past happenings in the family and he's really in need of a change, so when he meets Olivia Rashidi at the neighborhood bar, she's a breath of fresh air. Olivia doesn't like Cillian from the start, but she can't deny he's sexy as all get out! When she finds out his name, she tries even harder to steer clear of him. She's running from her own mob family, so she sure doesn't need to get mixed up with someone from yet another one. When they can no longer fight the attraction, Cillian agrees to the rules dictated by Olivia .. one night, no strings. But when she runs into trouble from her past a short time later, she turns to Cillian for help. Will they get to the point where they are willing to fight their families to be together?

    Passionate and riveting

Katee Robert continues to enthrall readers with this passionate, emotional and riveting installment of her O'Malley series where the antidote for greed and deception is love and loyalty. Cillian O'Malley knows that his family lost the best part of it when his brother was killed and his role in what happened is something he is yet to forgive himself for, but that loss was the wake up call he needed to clean up his act and step into his place in the family business. The thing is, that loss has also left him with a gaping hole on the inside that nothing has been able to fill. Until Olivia. As the unacknowledged daughter of a Russian mobster, Olivia Rashidi has seen all that that world has to offer and turned her back on it in order to give her daughter a better life. Cillian with his history and baggage is definitely not the person she needs in her life, especially when she can't seem to completely cut her own mob ties but she's drawn to him in a way that defies explanation and she sees the vulnerability in him that no-one else can see. Anyone can see that because of their families Cillian and Olivia together are a volatile combination, but the attraction between them is so potent that giving that up seems foolish. But when it's a choice between the woman who completes him and the family that demands his allegiance, can Cillian make the right choice or does he even have to choose? Cillian had been hard to peg from previous books. He gave off the vibe of a carefree playboy, but in reality, he's complex and very much a contradiction. Underneath all those expensive suits and the charm is a deadly and merciless man who is willing to break all the rules to protect his, but he also has a caring side that only few can see. Olivia on the other hand is a fighter and on guard all the time which is easy to understand, given her background. But I loved her connection with Cillian. They're very passionate together, smart enough to know that what they have isn't the norm in their world and tough enough to fight for it. This series really is worth reading because you can't help but connect with characters who are willing to fight for their happiness in a world filled with violence, deception and avarice. I know I've said it before but it bears repeating: this is Ms. Robert's best work. Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.
