    Strong Debut!

Eileen Richards has made a strong debut with her novel An Unexpected Wish. Lovers of more traditional styled Regencies will be pleased with this well written and thoughtful story. Sweetness presided overall in this book with the kindness and responsible behavior of the hero and heroine. There was also just the right amount of intense passionate moments to show their attraction. As an added bonus Ms. Richards displays her Jane Austen influence with various allusions to that author's work, Persuasion in particular. While supposed magical spells play a part in this book's plot the real magic is in Ms. Richards writing. *I received this ARC via Netgalley.*

Lovely Georgette Heyer style story with unnecessary sex

Really lovely story with good plot and excellent characters, which is ruined by unnecessary sex scenes. Why someone thinks they have to write graphic sex into a story to call it a romance is beyond me. At least the scenes are rather mild..too graphic for preteens, but not enough to call it erotic. This story had movement, interesting character development, and fun.
