    Good series, but...

This is a good cozy mystery series, the characters are endearing and the plots are not cookie-cutter "cut-and-paste-and-just-change-the-names" from one book to the next. However, the love triangle is getting old. This is trying too hard to emulate Janet Evanovich's wining formula with Ranger and Moretti. The story would be richer and more interesting if Cookie actually invested herself with someone instead of acting like a 14 year old girl with 2 crushes.

Definitely a great addition to this series

With each Secrest Seal Isle Mysteries that comes out they seem to be getting better. Even if you have not read any of the ones before this you will still enjoy it but it's better if you start right from the first book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

    Any Way You bury It

Cookie doesn't like being estranged from Dylan, the best-looking handyman ever. She's determined to fix it. Something, usually a dead someone, always seems to get between them just when things start to heat up. No exception this time. With the lack of experienced policing, she's at it again. She and her ex--partner. Dylan isn't going to be happy to see her working with Hunter again. Between solving the murder and trying to figure out how she feels about two men, Cookie is busy. That's not counting her BFF and hippy mom's interference. The Who-Done-It hits close this time. Can they find the culprit? If she does will she live through it? She's gonna need to make her mind up about one of those guys so he can keep her warm. Will she? Another Secret Seal Isle experience. The characters are still being characters. The men are still hot and the little town just lost another resident. Lucky you get to read and enjoy. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

    Not a cozy!

I was really disappointed with this story. One of the reasons I read cozies is they are supposed to be "COZY" Having Cookie and Hunter constantly trying to take each other's clothes off, and have Cookie straddle Hunter is NOT cozy! At least on two occasions and maybe more. I quit reading the story after that. This story is a chicklet, borderline porno story. Even though they were interrupted on the two occasions I know of that this happened. The romance is supposed to be only hinted at. This was way more descriptive than it needed to be. If I had wanted to read scenes like this, I would have read the 50 Shades stories

    Any Way You Bury It

Funny but good. Too much about past stories. Entertaining though.
