Emma Chase writes the best male POV EVER!!!

I'm not gonna lie. I pretty much love everything that Emma Chase writes. The lady can do no wrong in my eyes. I have loved this series from the beginning and I knew I was going to love Brent's story. This is one of those stories where the male and female knew each other in the past and something went terribly wrong (pronounced "misunderstandings") and now they are reacquainting themselves. I guess you would call it a second chance romance. I loved it. I loved Brent's cockiness and ego. I really did!!! He's a successful lawyer from a well-to-do family. Notwithstanding a terrible accident as a child his ego does not suffer because of it. I also really liked Kennedy. Once we got her story I could forgive all of her courtroom antics. She had every reason to be angry with Brent (because of the "misunderstandings"). Kennedy is also a successful prosecutor and lets Brent have it in the courtroom. They each have suffered a broken heart and now Brent is trying really hard to right past wrongs. Another thing I loved was catching up with the other characters from the previous books in this series and seeing how their lives have progressed. [Note: Jake is my favourite!] Aside from her great story telling abilities, Emma Chase writes the best male point of view. She does it with great humour. She may have been a guy in a previous life. And since I'm going on and on about all the things that I loved about this book I'm going to throw in that this book had the best Twilight references ever! [Note: Yes I love Twilight and I love cats. You'll see what I mean when you read this.] And what a great epilogue! I gave Appealed five satisfying and delicious cups of coffee to warm you on a chilly day like today. I most definitely look forward to more from Emma Chase in the future.

    I LOVE BRENT

I love Brent! He is perfect for me. Kennedy should just step aside and let me have him. ;) Seriously, Brent is one of my top book boyfriends, and Kennedy is definitely the only girl for him. Brent has always had money, as in super rich, so it was surprising for him to become a defense attorney. To many, becoming a lawyer would be a lucrative job, but he already has more many than he could ever make working; so, he's in it because it's his calling. His money and strong work ethic aren't even his best features in my eyes. His sense of humor is what gets me. He's a comic book nerd and a total goof ball. *Swooning* Oh, and he’s hot of course. ;) Kennedy and Brent grew up together. They were two peas in a pod for years. She was there during his rehabilitation from the accident that caused the partial loss of his leg. He was there during her awkwardness, braces and glasses. As happens sometimes, other people got in the way. Years later, they find themselves on opposing sides of a case. Kennedy is a tiger. She goes after what she wants with gusto. She's been knocked down a few times in life so she's Ms. Tough-As-Nails Dragon Lady compared to his Mr. Charming Clown. This story has a good bit of action, laughs, sexiness and heart. It's a story of best friends turned enemies to lovers. And if you enjoyed the other characters, you'll be happy to know that you get regular updates on how they're all doing. The epilogue is beautiful—I loved the whole book really. Yes, I definitely recommend reading.

    Appealed

Brent is at his neices 1st birthday party when he sets eyes on a gorgeous blonde, Kennedy cannot believe her eyes when she is confronted by none other than her first love. He doesn't recognize her at first but when he does he wants answers as to why she disappeared without a word all those years ago. This time he's definitely not letting her get away

    Great story

Very funny and heartfelt story. Brent and Kennedy were childhood friends until a misunderstanding occured and they went their separate ways. Fast forward 14 years later and they are thrust into each other lives, loved Brents POV. He is a alpha who isn't afraid to express his feeling to get the woman he loves...and what a journey it is. 5 stars!
