  • Epic battle!

So much riding on this book and it did not disappoint! The more I read of Raphael and Elena the more I love and admire these characters. Elena was a fierce warrior in this. Actually, she has been a fierce warrior in all the books. I love the way she has stayed true to herself and still evolved. She is one of my favorite heroines. The way Raphael fights to stay a little bit human for Elena, even knowing that is considered a weakness to others, shows a man who loves his woman to the fullest. Out of all the Archangel's he seems to be one who is feared by many and yet he has such compassion for others. It's a deadly combination. So many characters come out for this book, old and new. So much action took place that will make your head spin. So many nail biting moments. It was epic! There was not a cliffhanger but I also have no idea what to expect next. All I know is that I could read about these characters and never tire of them.

  • Archangel’s War

Another great hit from Nalini Singh - Reading this book was like watching the World Games live... Wooping fantastic!! It took off from the first chapter and kept building all throughout. The fast paced storyline gave me such an adrenaline rush, if I wasn’t already such a devoted fan of Nalini, I’d be hooked from this one! First time readers would have to refer to the last book (Archangel’s Prophecy) at the least, in order to follow the storyline without getting overwhelmed. Yet as always, the journey is painted so vividly through the storytelling; so it’s easy to picture the scenery and all the characters, see what they do, smell what they do, feel what they do (physically, mentally, emotionally), and even cringe at the imagined sounds of Zu Lijuan’s piercing screeching in their heads, that they hear. The few sneak peeks into Bluebell and his lineage was wonderful! I’m already trying to wrap my head around which two characters will star in the next series... And I cannot wait 🤩

  • Riveting

I was spellbound from page 1 I love all the characters but Raphael and Elena are the glue. The scene between the legion, Raphael and Elena broughr tears to my eyes. This book was well worth the wait. I hope it's not the end

  • Could not stop reading.

From the first page you are hooked. The glimpses of other characters that were loved from other stories brings their chapters to a close. An army survives on it's supply train. Let us dream that Nalini's supplies never run out. No spoilers but one song from The Wizard Of Oz keeps singing in my head. Beautifully written. Hope for many more.
