Another Great Magic Book - Pascoe's Story!!!

Another great "Magic" book! This book is truly fitting for Pascoe's character, and solves the mystery of why those twins are always getting into trouble. My only complaint (and this isn't really a complaint), is that the first couple chapters felt a little rushed if you do no know the characters. However, Patricia does a great job of explaining things along the way, so you would not truly be lost to what is taking place. Beyond that minor thing, the book had great characters, great pace, and a unique well thought out story. You got to visit old friends (if you are a fan of the series), and if you haven't read the other books this book will make you want to. Having read all the "Magic" books (Original, California, and Unexpected), it is fun to try and peace together who these characters are descended from. So whether you are new to the series or have read them all, you will enjoy this book. It has the flavor we love about the "Magic" books, while still telling it's own story.

    Very entertaining.

I have so enjoyed this series and am glad there will be more. We have seen Pascoe in the other books and I am glad that he got his own story. Pascoe and Bridey are great together and then throw in Pascoe's twins and you have a really good story. This story has magic, intrigue and ghosts. Very entertaining.

    Historical-Paranormal Romance

Aura of Magic by Patricia Rice Unexpected Magic Book #4 Impish four year old twins steal the show in this book that tells of a widow and widower who find love together. Both Pascoe Ives and Bridey Finley Darrow have lost spouses, have goals for the future and want to do what is right. Their coming together occurs as Pascoe, the king’s problem solver, is sent to deal with a mining and steel production issue in a town that Bridey used to preside over as countess, midwife and healer. Pascoe needs information but is saddled with two four year olds that keep disappearing. The two strike sparks from the beginning but Bridey’s chilly reception of Pascoe soon becomes a whole lot warmer as the story unfolds. With a ghost or two hanging around, incompetent heirs at the steel mill, unhappy workers uniting to strike, accidents occurring and two small children to sort out this is an entertaining and delightful read and a wonderful addition to the series. I am eager to read Will’s story at some point in the future and wonder how many of the Ives brood there re left and am hoping there are plenty since this is a fun historical series with a bit of magic and the paranormal in each book that I read. Thank you to the author for the ARC – this is my honest review. 5 Stars
