You Spank It, We Bank It

This was a light, funny, and sexy read! Emmett and Jenna were easy to like and had great chemistry. I had a bit of a hard time getting past the initial premise of the book (that a random stranger would be willing and eager to impregnate someone and that the other person would also be receptive to this), but once I let that go, the story flowed easily and was fun. I appreciated that the hero and heroine were older and more mature in this book. They have a pretty unconventional meet cute and arrangement in the beginning, but I liked that after that, things progressed naturally and organically between them. Jenna was smart and driven and I admired how she knew what she wanted and went after it. I'm always wary of the manwhore hero, but even though Emmett had a more colorful past, it wasn't something prevalent in the book. Honestly, had it not been mentioned, he would have come across as a very attentive, loving, and loyal partner. Both characters were guarded and wary of love, however, so it wasn't surprising that they were reluctant to come to terms with their growing feelings. There is some angst and the usual push and pull, but overall, this was a pretty lighthearted read. The epilogue was perfectly sweet and fans of Kendall Ryan will certainly enjoy Emmett and Jenna's story. *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

    ***4 ‘Baby Making’ Stars***

***4 ‘Baby Making’ Stars*** Baby Daddy was such a fun and smexy read. Jenna and Emmett were all kinds of fun to get to know and watch as they stumbled along in their journey to the HEA neither one of them knew they wanted. I loved Jenna and Emmett. They’re both determined, hard working and very set in their ways...especially when it comes to the ‘C’ and ‘R’ words (Commitment & Relationship) They have very different reasons for their phobias, but they still find themselves in the same arena in general. They both have their futures mapped out and nothing will deter them, at least until they collide and then things start to get really interesting. I had a great time watching these two fall when they were trying so hard not to. I really did because the sparks that flamed between them on their first collision were pretty intense and it only grew as they spent more and more time together, there was a flow to their interactions that showed how well matched they were in every way possible. This isn’t to say they didn’t frustrate me to no end with their efforts to “stick to the plan” because they did, but at least I was amused by their determination. Outside of the main roadblock to their HEA (themselves) there is another one that pops up, and I kept waiting for that shoe to drop and when it did the fireworks were definitely there, but I loved the groveling and was very happy with how everything worked out in the end. Kendall Ryan has another winner with Baby Daddy! It’s a fun, quick, smexy read filled with great characters that was easy to get lost in and the epilogue was perfect! ~ Copy provided via InkSlinger PR & voluntarily reviewed ~

    I <3 Emmett and Jenna

I thoroughly enjoyed Baby Daddy. Jenna and Emmett are both driven and determined characters. I enjoyed their relationship and how different it was. They just click with one another and form a strong connection in a short amount of time. The book is pretty fast paced, but it worked with the storyline. I enjoyed seeing how both their mind sets changed throughout the book. They're a cute pairing and share a lot of sweet moments together. The last few chapters were my favorites and very cute. It was wrapped up nicely with a good look at what their future holds for them.

    Review: Baby Daddy

Baby Daddy by Kendall Ryan is a standalone romance told in dual POV. The story unfolds from an elevator incident (two complete strangers stuck together for two hours) to a full on love story complete with baby. Let me back up, Jenna wants a baby. She is on her way to the sperm clinic to begin the process and gets stuck on an elevator with a very fine specimen of the male species, Emmett. He surmises she must be going to the spank bank and an embarrassing conversation ensues followed by an eager offer from Emmett to be the sperm donor instead of an anonymous spanker from the clinic. Entranced by his delicious smell, charming demeanor and entertaining banter she seriously considers the offer. The sex and hilarity just continues from here. With a few angsty moments where neither one is able to communicate their feelings, meanwhile you, the reader, are whisper-yelling at your kindle for them to get their acts together and we end at a happily ever after. What did I miss? He is CEO of a large bookstore company that is trying to buy out a local small bookstore owned by Jenna. Neither one of them knows what the other one does specifically for work. hey both catch feelings early and try to play it off, sometimes convincingly, other times to so much. The characters bounce their wit and frustration off each other and are well-developed and the pace was well-done. I haven't read a book yet by Kendall Ryan that I haven't loved. Enjoy!

    Baby daddy

I really enjoyed the story. I didn’t like some of the language and graphic sexual descriptions. I didn’t feel it was necessary for the story and could have been left to the imagination otherwise a good read.
