    A Very Touching Story!

Bette Lee Crosby is one of my very favorite authors. I've loved all of her books but the Memory House Collection has to be my favorite! And Baby Girl is #4 in that series. And once again, she delivers a heart wrenching, beautifully written story. Her way with words bring the characters to life. You will feel their heart break, joy, sadness, happiness and you too will most likely shed a tear or two. I know I did. This book didn't have as many of the Memory House Collection characters in it but we still had dear sweet Ophelia. Everyone should have an Ophelia in their life, she is such a lovely person with wonderful advice to give. She helps Cheryl Ann through her many hardships in life. If you haven't read any of the books by this author, I definitely would highly recommend any of them. They will touch your heart!

    Absolutely Enchanting and Enthralling!

Baby Girl is another novel written by the wonderful and talented, Bette Lee Crosby. Her way of spinning a tale is absolutely astounding and I can never get enough of her work. She always leaves me longing for more! Baby Girl is no different than the others I have read. It pulled me in within the first chapter and kept me there (until 3am). I finished this book in one day. I had no idea when I first started to read this book that it was based on a true story. I actually didn’t figure that out until after I had finished it, and that made me tear up all over again. This novel is heartbreaking and it made me cry numerous times throughout. It has such truth in there, truth that I haven’t really seen much of lately in novels. There isn’t always a happily ever after and this book reminds you of that not once, but twice. Cheryl Ann is easy to love and root for, you feel her emotions from the very beginning all the way to the end. This book is about growing up, learning lives lessons the hard way, learning that the sun doesn’t always shine but things do always get better. Life is an adventure and I simply adored reading the adventure of Cheryl Ann. I would love to see where this story goes after this, but I am sure that where ever it goes… it only goes up from here. Choices made

Cheryl begins her life with a loving father and an indifferent mother. As with many of us she makes mistakes along the way. Her choices in men cause a lot of heartache for her. There is a story of adoption here and healing. Ophelia from Memory House makes an appearance here and dandelion tea. I became curious about that tea so looked it up online. Apparently all parts of the dandelion are edible. Even the root! This book kept me involved wanting to know what would happen next. Great job Mrs. Crosby!

A wonderful addition to the Memory House series

Disclaimer:I received this book directly from the author at no charge, so that I may give an unbiased review of it. In no way, did Bette Lee Crosby influence this review. Baby Girl the #4 book in the Memory House series is a book you will not want to miss. I could not put the book down, I just wanted to know what happened to Cheryl Ann. Cheryl Ann the main character starts out life with a less than loving mother and a wonderful father who sadly passed away too soon. When Cheryl Ann is of age, she runs off with her then boyfriend and together they start a life. Prior to their marriage, Cheryl Ann becomes pregnant. She is young and not yet married, but feels that her boyfriend will love the baby and that they would be married soon enough. Sadly, he completely rejects the idea of becoming a father, instead he dreams of buying boats and real estate. Cheryl Ann basically on her own has to make the difficult decision, to keep the baby or to put it up for adoption. Throughout the novel, we follow Cheryl Ann in her life and see the ups and downs in it. Cheryl Ann is a very relatable character and one that you are routing for throughout the book. I cried with her and I laughed with her. Bette Lee Crosby, hit another home run with this book and it is one that I highly recommend to all.
