    Simple Story Line

I was looking forqardto reading a book that is set in the Pillaga. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the simple story line. After one chapter you knew exactly what the whole story would be. No surprises.

A short story padded out too far

This is the first book I have read by Tony Parsons. It had the potential to be a good read, but there was no real plot to it. Yes he grew up on the land, yes he wanted to return there, he married the wrong girl, was good at his job gets the ultimate client, gets the baddies(where the book should have ended) and waffles on to get the girl too. Several chapters were him narrating his ideas over and over to various characters. Very predictable and way too padded out for me to recommend. I score it "What a load of Bollocks"

    Back to the Pilliga

This is the first of Tony Parsons books I have read. What a gripping story line. I will definately look for other books by Tony.

    Back to the Pilliga

Great conversational style book. Written in the first person it almost seemed to be an autobiography as the author was so familiar with the country he wrote about. For me it was a welcome return to some familiar places of western New South Wales.
