4,5* I loved Cora. I come from a big family - well maybe not 6 brothers but I have a bunch of cousins that drove me mad from time to time when I was younger. I felt her desperation for some freedom in living her life on her own terms. I loved how outspoken she was and knew her worth when Rafe was dragging his feet and not feeling worthy of her love. Now lets speak about the man himself; Rafe had a bad childhood and I could understand his need for approval and thinking that you don't measure up. But his love for Cora is all-consuming and I loved that when the time came everyone was understanding (as they should be) and helped him to see that he was more than enough and deserved all the love the Hutchins clan bestowed upon him. They were perfect for each other and I just loved the HEA.

4 star Review Bad Best Friend (Billionaire’s Club #14) by Elise Faber Having read a number of books by Elise Faber I could not wait to read Bad Best Friend. This was an entertaining story and I quickly became invested in Cora and Rafe’s friends to lovers story. I really liked these characters. Cora has known Rafe all her life and he has always been an “adopted” brother. However all that chained a few years ago when she started to get feelings for him. What she doesn't know is that he has feelings for her too and things are about to get complicated. I really felt for Rafe, he loves Cora but doesn’t want to jeopardize the relationship he has with her family, after all they have been the only ones who have been there for him. I fell hard and fast for Rafe and enjoyed the push and pull dynamic of their relationship as they moved from friends to lovers. Bad Best Friend had heat, humour, love and characters who were easy to relate to as it ticked a lot of the boxes for me.

  • Bad Best Friend

BAD BEST FRIEND is the fourteenth book in the Billionaire's Club series and we meet Cora and Rafe. Now, as you may recall, I started this series at book thirteen so there's a pretty good chance that the couples mentioned have their own stories that I haven't read. That didn't impact me in any way though. Cora is the baby of the family, over-protected by her brothers and their best friend to try to make up for the death of her father when she was too young to remember him. She had dreams about Rafe but it obviously wasn't meant to be. That is until he moves in and realises she is a woman and all grown up. I really felt for Cora in this. She took a lot that I don't think I could have. And Teresa was spot on with her prediction. Rafe is a good guy and I do understand where he was coming from. It just didn't fit with the picture I got in my head from the blurb. Told from both Cora and Rafe's perspectives, this was an easy read that flowed well. The pacing was spot on and there were a few steamy moments. Another great read from Elise Faber and recommended by me. Now, I really must get those books on the backlist! ** same worded review will appear elsewhere ** * A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

If you love friends to lovers look no further that Cora and Rafe’s entertaining story. Cora has known Rafe all her life after all he has been friends with her brothers all his life and that has made him part of the family. Problem is as Cora gets older her feelings change and for the past few years she has wanted more that friendship. When she realises he feels the same, things start to get complicated so will either of them risk the relationship he has with her family for love and happiness. I really enjoyed this couples journey and I found myself sitting in the edge of my seat thinking will they take a chance. This book has it all, great humour, sizzling chemistry, wonderful characters but more importantly lots of love and family loyalty.

  • Cora and Rafe

If you are a new reader, then this is a great place to start while reading the series as we are introduced to a whole new set of characters of which other books in the future will be written. The future books with be about Cora's brothers and Rafe's best friends. If you a long-time reader, you will love seeing how all the previous couples in this series are doing as they are good friends with Cora and every Thursday they get together for some fun. Cora and Rafe were new characters to me as I have not read the previous books in the series. Cora has an awesome home life but she has 6 brothers, and they all work very hard to protect her from men. Rafe is a family friend to Cora, but he is best friends with her brothers and her mom sees him as a son. Rafe's home life was awful and so his family became his best friend's family. There is also a 6-year age difference between Rafe and Cora, and this was kind of an odd fact, Rafe actually held Cora as a newborn. Rafe is in town, and he needs a place to stay so her brothers ask him to stay with her and so that's how this story begins. It is a romance between a childhood friend and her brother's best friend and her huge crush. This was a story about friendship, love, family, loyalty and soulmates. At times Rafe frustrated me because he came off a bit of a coward and at the base of that was his fear of losing the people most important to him. But when he was with Cora, I loved his alpha tendencies. I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
