    Nice Prequel

It was nice to see the Emily before the other stories. I find it a bit pity that it was a short novel. I wouldn't mind if the story would be a bit longer. Now it feels as if the end is rushed and that is a shame.

    Bad Blood

I really enjoyed this book. Emily Swanson is a very likable character. I found the story fast paced and interesting. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and are looking forward to more books from this author.

Is Becky just being Becky, or is she dead?

The author is very good at ending his books with a twist! He did it again with Bad Blood -more than that would give the whole story away, and I don't want to spoil your reading....Emily Swanson is a character one identifies with. She isn't a super hero, extremely beautiful, or even a detective. This story is a backdrop for the other books in this series and here we get to know Emily at College, ready to start her life as a teacher. She isn't much of an extrovert and that is probably why she notices that something is wrong about Becky's disappearance before anyone else does. She sets the wheels in motion to find a girl who wasn't really liked, but who hid another life so well that it takes a lot of digging and courage for Emily to find what happened. It's not a long read, it's a quick but very gripping story. I love the way Mr Richards weaves his characters towards a very interesting ending - not just in this book, but the other Emily Swanson books too. Enjoy.

    Reality is a strong pull

The book that pulls me in is one that is realistic. What can be more realistic than a protagonist that is imperfect, with doubts and thoughts that actually reflect the way a person actually thinks! The story develops plausibly, and with a linear logic that is a natural progression. Enjoyable and an interesting and engrossing read.
