  • Second half was fantastic!

This is book two in the Modern Romance series and it features Kendall and Logan. He makes an irresponsible bet with a friend and needs her help before he loses controlling shares in his grandmother’s company. For me, this book didn’t get really interesting until after the halfway point. His and Kendall’s chemistry was explosive and extremely sexy. I love that he really got who Rory was. That was important! The first half of the story was full of unnecessary filler story. The second half of the story was fantastic! Logan’s character growth was impressive throughout the last half of the book, even though there were one or two disappointing moments. Mature Logan is much sexier! The friendship between Logan and Monty was touching. Nellie, I could’ve done without but I’m sure everyone’s got one of those friends.

  • Loved Kendall and Logan

This is the first book in the series that I have read and I loved it. Each book can be read as a standalone. Kendall and Logan were such a great couple. They were so cute together. The chemistry between them was so hot. You could feel it coming off the pages. I love books that make you feel what the characters are feeling. This is why I read romance - stories like this. I was hooked from page one and I didn’t come up for air until it was done. I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Bad love was everything but bad

Bad love was everything but bad. A great story between Logan guy who is on an important crossroads and hardworking single mother Kendall. They meet because a stupid bet and Kendall is doing everything that Logan wins. In the meantime, the feelings developed between them that is deeper than just a fling. Will Logan mature and will Kendall let her past mistake to ruin her chance for true love ? You will find that if you buy the book and read it yourself. Both characters great developed, likable. I loved Logan and how he develops. I loved the slow burn between them, the sexual tension. I also loved that book portraits that it is not late and impossible to find love again. I want to thank Author Piper Lowson who made it possible and provided ARC for me to read it.

  • Kendall and Logan Were Amazing

This book had me in stitches most of the time. The banter between Kendall and Logan was entertaining. Opposites in every way but it was amazing how they grew so much together. Their chemistry was explosive. An entertaining book to read that was hard to put down. A cute storyline and likable characters.

  • Modern and fresh this is a fun and engaging story

At first I was thinking oh another single mom/billionaire playboy match up -- it's going to be so predictable. However, I am pleased to announce I was wrong. Yes, the book was those things but it was mostly a story of the sexual awakening of a women shrouded in guilt/shame from mistakes she made as a teen. After getting pregnant at 18, Kendall marries the baby's father because of pressure from her preacher father and the church. The marriage of course doesn't work. Shamed from her community for getting a divorce Kendall moves to NYC to get a fresh start for her and her young son. She builds an amazing life and career. Her son is flourishing with his own passion -- cooking. When given the opportunity to sell sex toys Kendall takes the practical approach. Too bad the playboy needing her to sell the toys is anything but. Modern and fresh this is a fun and engaging story -- with cast of well developed characters.
