    I love Chosen!

I have to say this is one of my all-time favorite of Christine Pope’s books and I’ve read a lot of them. In a way that sounds weird because the book is about an apocalypse but there’s still so much to love here. First and foremost are the characters of Jessica and Jace. There’s something about their relationship that pulls me back time and time again. Both of them are such rich, fully developed characters which is good since they occupy most of the book. Jessica’s character is especially strong. She faces the loss of her world in a way that inspires respect. Jace is one of my favorite male characters in Christine’s books. We watch as how their relationship develops in incredibly hard circumstances and it would be hard not to cheer for them. But all is not what it seems, especially when it comes to Jace. The trust that Jessica develops for him is far more fragile than she thinks. I find it fascinating to see the life that Jessica and Jace build for themselves in a world that evolves quickly from consumer-driven to one where foraging is the only way to live. I also have to admit that the compound that they find and live in is one of the selling points of this book for me. It’s almost a character in its own right. And, of course, there are six books and counting to enjoy as one explores this apocalyptic world. It’s hard to ask for more of a series. Enjoy!

Doesn't give anything away about the contents of stories or how engrossed you can get .

Each story is totally different and some are so well written you can almost see what is happening when you close your eyes.

    Great fun, gread read, enjoy!!!

    C. Gockel's' I bring the fire' is a great discovery, I've read the serie's first 3 parts and I intend to search for more books. Christine Pope's 'Chosen' is well writen. Debra Dunbar's 'Imps series was very good, so I'm quite sure I'll enjoy a new story from her.
