Best 'friends to lovers' rom/com ever.

Bang Theory is the second book in this new series of standalones by Lili Valente. Set once again in Hidden Kill Bay, Bang Theory is Shepherd Strong and Bridget Lawrence’s story. Shep is the drummer with rock band Lips On Fire and Bridget is Kirby’s little sister. Colin and Kirby were the stars of the first book The Bangover. Bridge and Shep have known each other since they were kids and have been crushing on each other almost as long, only neither of them were aware of the other’s feelings. When an accident brings them closer than usual, it’s not long before Shep is finding it hard to hide his desires. Bridge hasn’t had the best luck with men and eventually asks Shep for his help. Help he longs to give but knows he shouldn’t. Well, Bridge isn’t taking no for an answer so he’s stuck. This was a sweetly, sexy story of friends becoming lovers, with so laughs, mishaps and a missing person conundrum thrown into the mix. Shep was just the nicest, sexiest guy and Bridget. Although a little bit bumbling, was a lovable character. It was great catching up with Colin and Kirby again too. Can’t wait to see who gets their story next.

    Review: Bang Theory

Bang Theory by Lili Valente is a wonderful friends to lovers romance set in the same world as Friends with Bang-ifits and the The Bangover. Focusing on Bridget and Shep and their friendship, the kiss they try to forget and hide from Bridget's sister Kirby, and the newfound sexual tension that is simmering in a pressure cooker and is ready to explode. The world-building, the secondary characters, the completely off-the-wall antagonist - it's everything I have come to expect and absolutely enjoy in a book from one of my favorite authors. Shep and Bridget's story is adorable, heart-warming and crazy enough to make it perfect! Enjoy!

Fun, witty & steamy friends to lovers romance!

Bang Theory is Lili Valente’s newest rom-com release and definitely one you don’t want to miss. I honestly can’t remember the last time I finished a book in less than 48 hours, but Shep and Bridget’s story was so entertaining I didn’t want to put it down. Their tale is one of best friends to lovers which kept my undivided attention from beginning to end. Once again, Ms. Valente delivers fun characters, witty banter, sexy escapades and a bit of suspense. The connection shared between Shep and Bridget left my heart fluttering with a sigh of contentment as I reached the final page. I’ve been a fan of Lili Valente’s novels for many years and with each new couple she introduces, she continues to prove why she is on my must read list. Though I’m always sad to say goodbye to her characters, I know it’s only a short pause until she introduces me to a new couple I will fall in love with and a new story which will leave me smiling and will once again captivate my heart.

A fun rom-com to start off my reading week!

Lili Valente set the bar high with The Bangover, and well, consider that bar met and raised with Shep and Bridget's story! Bridget was SO different from Kirby, and that isn't a bad thing because I love that they were sisters who had such a strong bond but had their own personalities and were now beginning to live lives separately. Then there was Shep. Le sigh. I swear, the guy has got to be among the top ten book boyfriends EVER. He always put Bridget first and his devotion to her would have any woman swoony. Valente deserves kudos for putting together this great cast of characters, and once one couple gets their happy ending, you're already itching to get the next book in your hands. Let me tell you, after reading Shep and Bridget's romance, the next book featuring one of the Lips on Fire members is going to have to be just as amazing of a romantic comedy read, but I have faith that Valente won't disappoint. After all, she hasn't yet! Bang Theory was a great start to my November reading, and it gets five stars. ♥

    Drummer Boy

Bang Theory was a BIG BANG alright. Lili Valente never stops amazing me with her creativity in storylines and characters. Shep and Bridget have been best of friends forever. It is the type of friendship you find once in a lifetime. It is also the type of friendship that can turn into so much more if explored. Bridget is done being the predictable, boring girl. She wants her love life to be exciting and unpredictable. She wants to set her sheets on fire and the man sharing them set on fire too. So when her crazy BANG THEORY comes to life after her minor head injury, who better to help test out this theory than her best bud Shep. At first Shep fights the idea of being Bridget's lab partner, but the harder she pushes the harder it is to resist her. One kiss leads to another and before you know it Shep is heading straight into the arms of Bridget. One night of passion changes it all for them. Just when Bridget and Shep are ready to take it to the next step, the crazy stalker stops it all. The next thing you know poor Shep is gone and Bridget is on a warpath to find her man. Obstacles try to get in Bridget's way, but no one can stop her once her mind is set. An odd exchange with someone Bridget knows leads her into the direction of where Shep is. Can Bridget get to Shep before it is too late? I am a die hard fan of friends to lovers stories. Who knows you better than your best friend? The one person that knows the good and the bad and is still with you till the end. Shep and Bridget are perfect for each other. Shep is this big hunk of a man that is loyal, sweet, thoughtful and loving. Bridget is sweet, kind, giving and so witty. The sparks between them was HOT and the passion they shared was so intense I could feel it jumping out of my kindle as I read. WOW what a story! Loved, Loved, Loved.
