Sweet and sexy start to this new series!

At 23, Michael is getting used to the rock star life style. He's always had money, having grown up with a rich father, but the fame and paparazzi are really starting to become the norm as Warning Sign starts its first big tour. While performing in Vegas, his eye is caught by the beautiful woman in the front section who is obviously enjoying the music as much as he's enjoying playing it. Catching up with her at a backstage VIP party, he realizes that it's a woman he already knows but hadn't recognized - Chloe, widowed partner of Snake, Oblivion's first drummer. They've been in the same social circles, since his stepmom's husband Nick is godfather to Chloe's son Axl, but had never really connected until now. Chloe is enjoying a weekend child free thanks to Nick, and living it up in Vegas. She's normally a very responsible mom, but this is her first chance to let loose in ages, and she takes the opportunity. One thing leads to another and the maxim 'what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas' no longer applies when she wakes up next to Michael with a ring on her finger! Yes, a Vegas wedding that neither can remember has happened. Michael has been warned to clean up his image, and he figures this is a sign. It's time to lose his player ways and commit to this woman, having pledged to take any wedding vow seriously after his father's marriage fiascoes. It doesn't matter that he can't remember the ceremony - the marriage licence says its real. Chloe's a little harder to convince though. She can't believe that she behaved so irresponsibly after working so hard for the past few years to support her son. She especially never planned to get involved with another rock star. Can Michael convince her that his commitment to her, no matter how it started, is real? What a fun and entertaining story! I love the way these authors mix personal relationships with the music making industry, showcasing all the ups and downs of a life on the road, and the problems and triumphs the band members must deal with. Michael, even though he's 23, gets a pretty fast wake up call from his life of fun and frivolity. He didn't plan to get married to someone he hardly knew, but his attraction to Chloe is strong and heartfelt, and he succeeds in proving how serious he is about making their relationship a real one. He's really a sweetheart, and a kind and generous person. He might be a little daunted at first about Chloe having a son, but he is equally committed to being a father figure for Axl too, which was great to see. All in all, he's very convincing as the hero of this story. Chloe is an equally likable character. Though she has a history with the band, having been partnered with Snake during Oblivion's first days trying to make it in the big leagues, she's kept a stable head on her shoulders. She could have followed Snake into his drug and alcohol addiction problems but she didn't, choosing to be the responsible parent to their son. She and Nick are friends, and Nick has been sending her money to help support Axl but she uses it frugally, preferring to save the money for his future and working full time jobs to keep them in their small house. As a single mother, she relies on her father who himself battled alcoholism for support, and she has a friend who helps her out when she's working her shifts at the local bar. She comes across as a dedicated mother and a level headed woman, despite her young age. It's hard for her to accept Michael's help but when the paparazzi find out about what happened in Vegas, she has no choice but to turn to him. It gives Michael the chance to show her that he really cares, and also leads to some very steamy scenes between them in which it's obvious they are bedroom compatible. I loved seeing the two of them figure things out, how they could make a real relationship out of their surprise marriage. Also, Chloe's son Axl is adorable! I'm not always a fan of kids in books, but he steals every scene he is in. They make a really lovely family. There are some behind the scenes and onstage parts of the story, giving a taste of life in a rock band. The authors are really excellent at crafting these scenes to make them interesting and dynamic. There are several secondary characters who get their say too, other members of Warning Sign, as well as some key scenes with Micheal's older and until now mostly estranged brother Mal. There is definitely a lot to look forward to in this series, and if this story is any indication, it will be a must read for me.

Lost in Oblivion spin off series

What a great start to a new series. I loved the Lost in Oblivion series and this one is starting off just as well if not better. Michael and Chloe never really took notice of each other before now. Michael sees Chloe in the audience at their Las Vegas show and is mesmerized. He realizes who she is and he can't believe he never before noticed hot hot she is. Chloe is in Vegas to have a good time. She is always the responsible one the one with a kid and works 2 jobs but this weekend she is going to have fun. How much fun is too much fun? Just remember "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" well, most of the time... This is a must read!

Excellent Start to the New Series!!

He is a guitarist in an up-an-coming band. He has a bit of a reputation as a “ladies man” (keeping it clean here). She’s a single mom who is cajoled into a nothing-goes, all-is-paid-for trip with her girlfriends to Vegas. Michael and Chloe hey know each other tangentially through shared friends. Then the come to KNOW each other, and, well the title says it all – Bedded Bliss :) The dialog was great; funny and serious all mixed into one. The sexy times were super-hot and not just “thrown in” to the story. After what I thought was a slow start, and getting a lot of character names thrown at me, I settled in to a FANTASTIC read! It was very easy to get sucked into the book. Loved. It. I think it helped that I read the Lost In Oblivion (LIO) series first; I didn’t need a tutorial of who the supporting cast of characters were. That’s not to say you HAVE to read LIO first; this book is definitely its own beastie. But, for me it was helpful that I knew the characters and some of their foibles ahead of time. I’m very much looking forward to the rest of this series. If you liked the Lost in Oblivion series, you will love this new series.

    HIGHLY recommended read!!

Oh this book... these two ladies and these incredible stories!? I have loved every book Cari and Taryn have written and have fallen in love with Lost in Oblivion crew over and over again throughout each book in the series. Now we move onto the next generation of rockers, Michael (Lila's stepson), Juliet (Margo's sister), Molly (Jazz's sister) and the rest of the crew in Warning Sign, off on their first tour and trying desperately to keep it together long enough to make it to the big leagues. Michael Shawcross has lived an easy life financially this far but wants nothing more than to make it on his own without the financial support of his wealthy father. Chloe on the other hand, was left a single mom, working her butt off for Axl, her son with Snake, a former LiO band member who sadly lost his life to drugs. One weekend in Vegas changes everything for both of them, after a typical drunken Vegas night, they wake up to find they're married.... and now Michael is willing to do anything he can to keep his new wife. Starting with getting to know her!? This book was beyond beautiful. Chloe struggles daily with the typical concerns of a single mom, who up until that point had nothing else to live for except her baby boy. Michael swoops in and rescues her in the sweetest, most beautiful, kind and loving ways. My heart melted for these two and I was left in a blubbering mess at the end of the book... HIGHLY recommended read!! Can't get enough from these ladies and am already sucked back in dying for the next book in the new Found in Oblivion series!!
