    Creepy and Suspenseful

"Before She Knew Him" is a well-constructed novel of mystery and suspense. Mira and Matthew and Henrietta (called Hen) and Lloyd, both childless, are next door neighbours in a Boston suburb. Hen becomes suspicious of Matthew, believing he has committed a murder. She has a history of manic depression, however, so her suspicions of Matthew are not totally believable. As the story progresses other murders occur, and Hen becomes more convinced that Matthew is at fault. This book held my interest from beginning to end. Readers will likely be surprised at the twist towards the end. A very good read.

    Worth the read- Great Twist.

Very intriguing concept and definitely not predictable as some suspense thrillers can be. I read this version as an audiobook which definitely added another level to it. Would highly recommend for anyone who likes this genre of book. A great twist in the end that I did not see coming.

    Just ok

I was somehow disappointed in this book. Perhaps the relationships among the characters was a bit superficial, or that there seemed to be few surprises in plotting.

    Good Twists

This story started off very promising. I enjoyed getting to know all the characters. 3/4 through the bk, & the author had me thinking of various scenarios as to how it could end. However, I was expecting more of a “Wow, I didn’t see that coming!” Wanted a better “wrap-up” ending for the 2 main female characters, especially Mira. Still plan to rd another by this author. The Kind Worth Killing has received great reviews so it will be next on my list.

    very appropo

Peter Swanson has done it again! The twists and turns were in every chapter. I didn't see the last twist coming - who would have thought?? One good message I got from this book is anyone who is bipolar - take your meds which puts you on an even keel. Loved this book!
