    Behind closed doors

This is a lovely and interesting read. I enjoyed every page from the beginning to the end. Elizabeth was in an abusive marriage that ended in the death of her husband while trying to defend herself in one of his abuse. Some months later she relocated to a small town, Springfield, where she met Chris Daniel, a neighbor and soon to be her boss. Chris too was recently divorced from his cheating wife and so has some insecurities where ladies are concerned. Chris was attracted to her right from the start bur because of his past experience was fighting it and came across to Elizabeth as gruff and scary. But as time goes on, she was able to see that not all men are abusive and became relaxed in his presence. They finally started a relationship but they had many obstacles to overcome, somebody was threatening her life and her late husband's family too sued her for murdering their son, also Carol, Chris' ex-wife was stalking him. The book is really engrossing and captivating. "I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review".

When a broken woman meets a disillusioned man

When Elizabeth Marshall relocates to Springfield, she is escaping one of the harshest experiences any woman could have. This story had all the potential of being a good drama, however I found the characters somewhat melodramatic and not entirely believable. Christopher seemed to be a grouch and generally lacking in manners when Elizabeth first met him, however he does redeem himself. Elizabeth is a broken woman and easily falls apart. I found that the attacks on Elizabeth were fragmented as was Chris' ex-wife's appearance in the story. The romance between Chris and Elizabeth built slowly but I'm surprised that she didn't react negatively when Chris displayed overt alpha behaviour. Chris' family and friends were positive aspects of the book and ultimately the story came to a good conclusion. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

    A waste of my time.

I couldn’t finish this book. I didn’t like the writing style, and the words didn’t flow well. It felt very forced. I couldn’t force myself to finish reading this book. It felt like someone was telling me a story instead of reading one. There were many misleading five star reviews. The book most definitely didn’t add up to all those fabricated five-stars. It made me wonder if they had actually read the book. Not only did I not like the writing style, but I also didn’t like the annoying characters. They irritated the hell out of me.  The characters switched up too much. And, the Hero was just weak. He nor the heroine is a character that I could grow to love. The more I read, the more I hated them because of the behavior. I had to stop reading before I got a migraine.
