    Highly recommended!

A fast paced, gripping and entertaining cozy mystery. It's the second I read in this series and I think it's my favorite so far. I was happy to meet again Belinda and the cast of characters, they're well written and likeable as they were in the first book. The mystery was excellent and kept me guessing. I look forward to reading the next instalment in this series. Highly recommended! Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

    Fun cozy

What a wonderful followup book in this series.  I've really grown to like Belinda and her investigative skills, even if she ends up in the hot seat more than she expected. The story is engaging and I like that Belinda seeks out petsitting for exotic pets.  The first book was a snake and in this book, it is helping at a wolf preserve.  All is going well until an employee turns up dead in what appears to be a wolf attack.  There are other unfortunate incidents at the preserve and there are multiple suspects to consider and motives.  I was surprised when the killer was revealed as I didn't really suspect this character as a killer.  Yes, something unusual was happening but we don't really know what.  There are several possibilities but no character stood out to me until the end when Belinda finds herself in the crosshairs of the killer. Outside of the mystery, I really enjoy Belinda's character and her multiple talents.  Who else could review video games and be an exotic pet sitter at the same time?!  A potential career change is suggested to her at the end of the book and she is seriously considering the change.  I'm not going to tell you what, you'll have to read the book and find out.  Belinda also has some love interests...although I am perplexed at the potential relationship with Jonas because I thought in the first book he was in a relationship with someone else.  Perhaps he broke up with that woman and I just don't remember...that is very possible as many books as I read! Overall we give this book 5 paws up and await the next book in this series.

    A Fantastic Series!

This was a fabulous continuation of a brilliant series! Belinda Blake, an exotic pet-sitter, is nervous about her new job at the White Pine Wolf Preserve. Having recently relocated to Greenwich, Connecticut to develop her business looking after peoples’ exotic pets in their absence, the reserve owner asks her to help out with her wolves. On her first day she discovers a bloodied corpse - the body of a tour guide - in the enclosure. Can Belinda and the detective on the case find the killer before the murderer strikes again? I loved this fascinating mystery! Heather Day Gilbert’s descriptions of the setting were impressive and the pacing was spot on. There was always plenty going on and there was certainly never a dull moment! The author’s characterisation was wonderful. I loved the feisty and fearless Belinda, caring, hunky hometown neighbour, Jonas and charming, suave and handsome Stone Carrington the fifth, who was Belinda's love interest in book one. All of the characters had a great part to play, whether or not they were likeable and all had plenty of audacity and spirit. The plot was brilliantly executed and I was desperate to find out what was going to happen next. The combination of description and dialogue was great and I had plenty of opportunities to play armchair detective as the story progressed, although, like Belinda, I didn’t figure out who the murderer was until the exciting reveal. The ending definitely took me by surprise. I highly recommend Belinda Blake and the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing and I am already looking forward to reading the next instalment in this remarkable series. A well deserved five stars! I received a complimentary copy of this novel from Kensington Books via NetGalley at my own request. This review is my unbiased opinion.

    Fun cozy mystery series

You might think that after pet-sitting a ball python, Belinda Blake can handle anything, but she’s not too sure about wolves. Yes, it’s a rehabilitation sanctuary, and yes, they seem friendly, but they’re still wild animals. With sharp teeth. I’m enjoying this series for the mysteries, but also for the characters. Belinda is a computer gamer and book-lover, transplanted from a rural environment into a wealthy neighbourhood. Jonas, one of her friends from home, looks promising as a love interest, although her landlord’s absent son caught her attention in book one. And Red, the chauffeur/bodyguard on the estate where she rents a carriage house, is an interesting background character. For the literary and theme-inclined, there are some interesting correlations between Belinda’s story and the novel her long-distance book club is discussing. The Great Gatsby is not a book I know well, so I missed some of the effect. Definitely recommended for cozy mystery fans! [Review copy provided by NetGalley and Kensington Books. Opinions are my own.]

    Wolf Sanctuary Murder Mystery

This was a fun book to read. This the second book in the series. I have read the first book and I would strongly recommend that to any reader. I believe that reading the series from the beginning will give the reader a much-needed background that is not given in the second book. Having said that, this book is quite the page-turner! The plot is tight. I really enjoyed the setting of the wolf sanctuary and the discussion of the animals and their behavior. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
