One of the Best Books in a Long Time

This was one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time! Becca is so witty and funny and when she’s paired up with Fitz, they become a powerful couple in all categories. This book had me up late wanting to finish reading it and times where I was glad I was drinking something because it wouldn’t have been pretty from the caught off guard laughter! Than you Ms. Monroe for making my day, week, month, and year so much better!! Seriously, if you haven’t read one of her books, your life must be pretty dark because her books bring nothing but light.

    Love this series!

Love Lila's stories! They are fun, quick reads that give you a dose of hope and laughs! Best Man is the story of Becca and Fitz. Becca is admirable.  She is hoping to save her community, her family that she chose.  And to do that, she has to do some extraordinary things. Her quirkiness makes her even more lovable and her friends are fantastic! Fitz is a playboy or is he really? There is another side to him that Becca gets to see and he is holding a secret. He is comfortable playing a part that he has done for years.  Until he meets Becca on one of her worst nights ever and she unknowingly makes him want to be better for her. Jet setting, smexy times and bitter parents, who could ask for anything more?!? I really enjoy Lila's books and this one is no exception!

5 Brilliant, 'saved the best 'til last stars!!

Lila Monroe never, ever fails to deliver the goods, and this proves to be the case with her newest offering to the rom/com gods… and avid readers alike. Following in the steps of the five previous books in this hilarious series of standalones, Best Man brings British toff and playboy extraordinaire Arthur Fitzwilliam Fitzgerald and zany, hard-working Rebecca Delaney together in a whirlwind of a fake marriage. Becca has been left an inheritance left by an elderly friend, but is being forced to wed as per the rule of the estate. She needs a spouse. ASAP!! She didn’t expect the hot stud she met in a bar to save the day for her. Arthur offers up his services just for a laugh, not knowing just how much he’s about to change his life for a gorgeous, sexy stranger. Arthur is the model of a playboy, and at times, a bit of a douche, but he didn’t know how to have a relationship and was trying his best. And his best… well, the man was certainly swoon-worthy, romantic and charming. He was also hot as sin and could melt panties at sixty paces. He and Becca were from two different worlds, but they somehow messed and were wonderful together. I loved this entire book. It had that warm fluffy feel that only the best romantic comedies can offer. There were some interesting secondary characters and I’m looking forward to reading their stories too.

    A brilliant, funny, sexy read.

Well whatever expectations I have for this book Lila blew them out of the water. Becca and Fitz are not what we would call a traditional couple by any stretch of the imagination. Becca runs into Fitz at a bar after she is left at the alter bu her arranged fiance. By a twist of fate Fitz was supposed to be the Best Man at the wedding and offers to take the place of the groom to help Becca out of her jam. What follows next is nothing short of hilarious as playboy Fitz plays the doating husband to ensure Becca can meet her obligations. A brilliant, funny, sexy read. “So here we are.” Fitz slings an arm around my shoulder. “Happily married. And I’ve got to tell you, there’s nothing like newlywed sex to spice things up. Am I right, Pooh bear?” I’m going to kill him. “Well, he’s glossing over a few things,” I say, wanting to wipe that smirk off his face. “Like his performance anxiety. But it’s fine, it happens to most guys after a few too many drinks. And once we figured out he could only rise to the occasion playing YouTube videos of My Little Pnoy, it was smooth sailing from there on out!” Fitz’s jaw drops. i keep beaming. “Plus, the Rogaine is working out great, don’t you think? You can’t even tell it’s not his natural hair.” “Baby a word?” Fitz glares at me. I pat his hand. “Aw, I know you’re shy, but like you said, we’re all friends here.”

    Entertaining

5 Star Review of Best Man (Billionaire Bachelors # 6) by Lila Monroe   What a great addition to what has become one of my favourite series. This book was so good that I really didn’t want to put it down. I loved Best Man from start to finish; it was a fabulous read, full of great moments that really brought a smile to my face. Arthur “Fitz” Fitzwillam This is playboy Arthur “Fitz” Fitzwillam and Rebecca “Becca” Delaney’s story and oh what a story Lila Monroe weaved. Becca is desperate to gain her inheritance thereby saving all the tenants in the apartment block that she recently inherited; only catch is she has to be married to get it. That’s where through sheer desperation Fitz comes into play as he offers to be her “fake” husband . The chemistry between Fitz and Becca is off the charts and the line between reality and make believe soon blurs. Can their relationship based on pretence, morph into something real? Or will it all come crashing down? One click to find out…
