    Enchanted Book Nook Review

I got the chance to read this book for free, in exchange for my honest opinion, through Blogging For Books. Typically, I do not review books like these, but I will make an exception when it has to do with one of my all time favorite artists! This book began as Billy’s autobiography, but he abruptly pulled it from publishing. He handed the book over to his co-author on the book, Fred Schruers, who still had hundreds of hours of personal interviews with Joel, his family, friends, band members, and many others. So it seemed logical for this book to be turned into an authorized biography. While I’m a huge fan of Billy Joel, I really didn’t know much about him. I found this book very fascinating with the accounts from his life and career. It follows his his quite difficult childhood, his start in garage bands and writing music, and his recording. I enjoyed reading about how he pours his feelings into his music and how the piano has helped him through many turbulent times. We hear about his married life and his many interests. This is all around a really great book for those who are interested in learning more about Joel.
