    Race and Medicine!

Definitely an eye opener from Dr. Tweedy. From starting Medical School at Duke on a scholarship to meet their race quota to treating patients of his own "black race" because of their bad choices and prejudging them and being prejudged. He is called out by one of his professors to change a light bulb in a classroom because he's thought to be a janitor, and that is just the start of his own eye opening experience of the prejudice in the medical world. This is a great read and should be a must read for medical students of all skin colors.

    Amazing and eye-opening

Such a fantastic read whether or not you are in the medical field. I have been learning about race & medicine through lectures and experience as a medical student in an urban environment, but going on the journey through Dr. Tweedy’s experiences opened my mind to a deeper experience.
