    A disturbing and fascinating read

Oh Wow! What an unusual book. I did not see those plot twists coming, and certainly did not expect that ending. Marvellous. Magnus Blackwell our main character (I can't call him a hero) starts off as a self-centered manipulative young man. Then after his experience in New Orleans this multiplies by ten. He is completely amoral, concerned only with his own satisfaction and revenge. Jacob O'Conner is our secondary character and thinks that Magnus is a good friend and helpful benefactor. At first he was, but then a woman comes between them. So starts the downfall. A disturbing and fascinating read. I loved it.
