  • Blood Magic: A One-Way Journey

Any who decide to pick this up, you will be charmed by the dialogue of the characters. They all sound real and, within a few sentences, you know what they sound like. Action scenes are descriptive and easy to follow. In other words, they have a nice flow to them. I don't want to say anything on the plot or setting besides that it feels like a good introduction to this world and what will befall it. I wish that the botany of the world would have been explored a bit more, given that the lead character is a budding botanist. Exposition, at times, feels like it is put in as a long afterthought. Thankfully, most exposition makes sense and is well placed. Overall, I enjoyed the book and bought the next one as soon as I finished this one.

    Thanks for your feedback!
