    A great read

Blood Rose is the 8th in the In the Shadows series and it cements the story of Cass and Calder beautifully. I never "felt" Calder as strongly in earlier books - it's hard to be in Sebastian's shadow I suppose. And Calder's character was literally in the shadows for longer perhaps? But in this book he and Cass take their rightful place with some heart in mouth action and resolution just as engaging as Talia's and Sebastian's story. Yes, this is a standalone story but you would be cheating yourself of the "Blake universe" if you don't start at the beginning with Mister Black. P T Michelle always has so many fine points of detail in her well written stories, and this is no exception. Have already put a note in my calendar to look for Den and Mina next March in book 9 and have an inkling that Beth and Ben would make a fine book 10. Goodness knows! I even want to know what becomes of Sebastian's previously disagreeable Blake brothers, I have become so hooked on this series! It's always good to read an engaging, well written story. In Blood Rose P T Michelle delivers :)

    Great Read

I love this series. The characters are well developed. This book concentrated on Cass and Calder’s story. There are twists and turns in the book. It will be difficult to put down.

    Absolutely breathtaking

I recommend that before anyone reads this book, read the others! This was a great continuation of the Cass and Calder story. The author does an excellent job of pulling the reader into the lives of her characters. Throughout the book, you feel like you’re inside of a secret love story that encompasses all the ups and downs of a real life couple. I totally recommend this book to anyone looking for an entertaining plot with lots of sex and a really sound story line. Another masterpiece in the In the Shadows series!

Review: In The Shadows 8: Blood Rose

Blood Rose by P.T. Michelle is the eighth book in her In The Shadows series. A standalone story within the series that CAN be read as a standalone but would be better enjoyed if you had read the series to this point. Told in dual POV this is another story in the lives of Cass and Calder. Emotional, intriguing, and very sexy this was a fabulous read. Calder is desperate for Cass to set a date and marry him. Cass is determined to find her own place in Calder's world, one where she can feel like she has her own value and knows she can provide him with the family that he so desperately craves. The problem with these two is the lack of communication. Calder is the type of personality that wants to protect and care for but Cass is the type where she wants to do things for herself. They have to learn to compromise their personalities, talk openly with each other, and also dodge the threats on their lives while they're at it. Well-written and well-paced I have enjoyed previous books from this author and this one was no different. Enjoy!
