    Good

Dirty talking, sexy pop star - yes please! Bodhi McKnight finds himself on the receiving end of an intervention. His reliance on cocaine lands him in rehab. He's part of the popular boy band Virtuous Paradox. So when he gets out of control, the band manager and Bodhi's father step in and quietly get him into a discreet rehab facility. That's where he meets Kimberly Gordon. She works as a patient advocate at her father's facility and even though she knows its wrong she gets involved with the charismatic Bodhi. This is the point were I felt like the story fell apart for me. I feel like what could have been a great story didn't quite come together. There was very little about Bodhi's experience in rehab and it just made it all seem so easy which of course it isn't. So the story no longer felt real. This isn't really a bad story but just didn't ring true to me.

    Instantaneously addicting!

**Review copy courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review** This is one of those books I just didn't want to put down. If this is how the Virtuous Paradox series is going to be, we had all better settle in and buckle up because it's going to be a wild ride, but in the end it will definitely be worth it. Bohdi McKnight is in one of the most famous boy bands around and like many in his field, he gets involved with the wrong people and he ends up addicted to cocaine. In an effort to save him from himself, his father and manager stage an intervention that sends Bohdi to Serenity Springs, a rehab ranch where he will get the help he needs. When he arrives, Bohdi meets the team that will help him throughout his stay, one of those people being his one-on-one companion, Kimberly. Bodhi is immediately taken by the young woman, but he knows he is in no shape to be having those kinds of thoughts. Kimberly Gordon has seen it all in this job where she works at her father's rehab ranch. For this job, while she's assigned to help out Bohdi, who is one of the most famous men around, it doesn't phase her. He needs her help and that is what she's going to offer. As she gets to know him, what she doesn't anticipate is the connection, and utter attraction, she feels for the man who is trying to get himself together. She sees him, the real him, which is more than most people have seen his entire life. Will these two people with vastly different backgrounds, and demons, be able to make a relationship work under the most difficult of circumstances? Will Bohdi's previous demons spell the end of what could be a promising future together? Heidi McLaughlin did a great job tackling a very difficult subject. Addiction of any kind is hard and it is not something you're cured of. It can be managed, and this book showed us that along with some of the horrors that go along with the detox process and how difficult it can be on a family as well. I enjoyed this book for a myriad of reasons and I am genuinely looking forward to the next offering in this series!

Good story, look forward to more

I enjoyed this story. Kimberly works in a rehab where Bodhi shows up to get clean. They break rules as they fall in love. The grittiness of rehab is well written. Kimberly has doubts about Bodhi and his lifestyle, and whether she will truly fit in. There were moments that touched my heart, and I look forward to reading more in this series. I received a copy of this story through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.

    Loved this Book!!!

Blow by Heidi McLaughlin.....This book is very well written and a page turner for being a tough subject. Heidi McLaughlin does a great job taking the reader into the life of a person on drugs and the person on the other side helping the recovery. I loved watching the beautiful love story unfold between Bodhi and Kimberly. This was my first book by Heidi McLaughlin and she has won a new reader. I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.

    Whole New Dimension of writing

This is something new and exciting, and will keep you wanting to turn the page. Bodhi's story and the feel of real life struggles take center stage in this new book from Heidi. The struggles of addiction are brought to a serious light here and the consequences are even harder... Amazing story telling with this book. Deep characters whom you can't help but love. Bodhi and Kimberly's story is one you won't want to miss! Can't wait for more of this band in this series!!
