    Blue Mercy

This book pulled me in from the first page. It was well written, intense, and engrossing. The relationship between a mother and her daughter, the changes it goes through, and the sacrifice a parent makes for her child. I was taken by complete surprise and awe! The story ends with a bang! Great read.

    Totally and utterly boring

Well, I am sorry, I struggled with this book -- I am one of those people who insist on completing a book whether I am enjoying it or not! I may have to rethink that principle. It took me twice as long to get through this book than other books -- most likely because it felt like torture -- way too much verbage to express background info and it just seemed to go on and on and on -- I am still not sure what the plot was!!

    Blue Mercy

This story carried one woman, Mercy, through an intimate journey of her life from a young Irish girl, maturing into a multi-faceted woman living in California and back to Ireland. She learned to love deeply a young husband who left her with a small daughter, Star. Even though the dark secrets she has buried from an unnatural relationship with her father threaten her very self, she falls in love one more time but it’s not one to last. If you like drama and conflicted characters, you’ll love this book.

    Could be better

An interesting story but difficult to wade through. I felt a little 'sucked in' by the initial review - sometimes personal relationships are just aggravating and when people wallow in them it can be annoying. However the relationships in this book could be close to true.

    Average to good

I liked this book. I thought it had too much detail. The end was too long. Interesting story
