    Fun cozy mystery

Booked for Trouble is the second book in the Lighthouse Library Mystery series staring likable librarian Lucy Richardson and Charles the resident library feline. I thoroughly enjoyed this offering by Eva Gates, even though I haven't had the opportunity to read the first book of the series. Lucy is an incredibly likable character and you want to root for her from the beginning. Set in the picturesque area of the Outer Banks, Ms. Gates uses the local scenery almost as an additional character to great effect. The reader feels transported to the beach and local hotspots featured in the book, including the wonderfully imaginative lighthouse library. Despite the author's note at the beginning of the book, I found myself dreaming of visiting the Bodie Lighthouse Library and meeting Charles. Booked for Trouble is full of quirky characters that add to the enjoyability of the story as a whole. Whether they are in favor of or against the lighthouse library, each character brings his/her own special brand of odd to the story. The inclusion of two handsome possible love interests for Lucy only increases the fun! Not only am I eagerly looking forward to the next installment of the series, I can't wait to read the first book to catch up on what happened before Booked for Trouble.

    Murder in the Outer Banks

I enjoyed the first book in this series and I enjoyed this second one. In this one Lucy's mother come to visit her in the Outer Banks and another body is found at the Lighthouse Library. Lucy's mother is a suspect so Lucy sets out to find solve the murder. The characters and the setting are a lot of fun. I love the idea of a Library in a Lighthouse. I just wish this book had more to do with the library and books. The mystery was OK and there were a few twists. I look forword to my next visit to the Outer Banks and this unique Library. Enjoy

    An entertaining book

I thought this book was even better than tbe first book in this series. Great characters and interesting plot twists, with added humour thrown in. Can't wait for the next book to be released
