    A Beautiful Mafia Romance

This book was simply incredible. I would give it a 5/5 on any given day. There are three aspects of the story which I really enjoyed; the romantic plot line, the incredible chemistry, and the personal feel to the characters. In short, the story revolves around the arranged mafia marriage match between Aria Scuderi, and Luca "The Vice" Vitiello. Aria is this young character who becomes forced to accept her fate as a symbol of peace between two major mafia clans. Personally, I viewed her as naive and weak in the beginning, but as the story progresses she blooms into a strong character who finds happiness and love in the most unexpected places. Her curiosity and need for love idealizes almost a realistic response from anyone who could read this book. The emotions found within this book are incredibly real! For Luca, the need to appear as a monster but still hold Aria's love is this burning example of his inner struggles, but also, it is the example of his powerful character. Portrayed as cold initially, the audience quickly falls for this gorgeous alpha male who becomes an obvious object of the readers classic hero. He too grows in the relationship he has with Aria and this book becomes the novel example of love in the most surprising of places, with the most intriguing characters. Honestly, the book is a great read for anyone who wants to experience the most beautiful of an intricately woven love story.

    Absolutely Wonderful!

Thanks to this book, I find myself wanting to read more Mafia romance, but somehow I always end up comparing them to this one and find them lacking. Based on the arranged marriage trope, it centres on Luca and Aria, two people who despite the darkness around them fall in love.

    Entertaining Despite Its Flaws

Bound by Honor is a quick read that kept me engaged for the entire afternoon it took get through, though it had too many weaknesses for me to say I truly liked it. At times I found the dialogue to be eye-roll inducing and unbelievable, and I found myself wishing for descriptors of Luca that weren't, "something I didn't understand," or "a look I couldn't read." There were regular spelling and grammatical errors that broke my immersion, and I HATED how every woman that wasn't Aria's family or the housekeeper ended up being "wh*res" and "c*nts," according to the two main characters. However, the story flowed quickly and the sex scenes were fun, which helped it move past the less entertaining parts, and I find myself curious about the other books in the series. I'd probably read at least one more if it was free, but am not likely to purchase it.
