Portrait of the geek as young woman?

An impressionistic memoir of the authors experiences with computers. The isolation of early years giving way to more social interaction as her world expands in step with the world expanding her hobbies. This is matched by language that slowly moves from the tactile, to the breathlessly engaged with smaller communities before concluding with a look at the state of the web as she now sees it. A good memoir for a set of experiences that many have had a part in and which is rarely recorded with the affection which is deserving of all such stories.
