  • Engrossing story

I was really looking forward to the end of Aria and Carter's story but instead we have to wait for another book😞 Book two ended on a bit of a cliffhanger. Book three picks up there and is the book where the war between the families begins. Aria's situation has changed somewhat for the better, although she is a complete emotional wreck. Carter feels betrayed but I feel no sympathy for him at all. Aria on the other hand is in an impossible situation and I do feel sorry for her. I'm not going to lie, I have a hard time relating to either of these characters. I don't understand how Carter thinks or how he justifies the things he does to Aria, and I don't understand how Aria could fall in love with someone who mistreated her as he did and continues to makes her life hell, but it is what it is. I might not be a fan of Carter, and many things that happen in these books make me really angry, but at the end of the day this series is engrossing and well-written and I can't wait to see how it all ends. I'm hopeful that Carter will somehow redeem himself because I really want a happy ending for everyone, including Daniel and Addison and the other Cross brothers, Declan and Jase. *If you haven't read Possessive yet, I highly recommend you actually begin with that book. It's Daniel and Addison's story which takes place prior to the beginning of Merciless, the first book of the Merciless series. It isn't necessary to read it but it does provide more background on the Cross brothers, as does the book A Kiss To Tell, which provides glimpses of teenage Carter before he became the powerful criminal figure he is in Merciless. ** I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

  • Left me breathless

Omg I couldn’t devour this book quick enough! I was dying to know what was going to happen with Aria and Carter. Aria is a bad chick and is trying to get control of her life back. This book did not disappoint and left me needing and wanting more! I can not wait to read the conclusion to this series!

  • Breathtaking and Captivating

Breathless will literally leave you Breathless. Throughout the books entirety, you’re on the edge of your seat. Carter’s possessiveness becomes more in this book, if that’s even possible. Aria seems to find herself a bit and realizes exactly what she wants and needs. I cannot wait to see what the final book in Carter and Aria's story holds. Willow whipped up yet another masterpiece that will affect you long after the book is closed.

  • Brillant

OMG no wonder it was called Breathless think I was holding my breath reading it. As Aria and Carter story continues it get more exciting as the story goes on. How will they get past this, am sure Aria is getting stronger every day she is becoming her own women and I like it. Carter really needs to come clean but who knows now what will happen just that he loves her very much and will do anything to keep her safe. Well written and the ending just keeps you gripped actually the whole book keeps you gripped. Looking forward to the next book 😊
