  • Simply pure magic

This second book in this series certainly has the couple taking the heat level between them up a notch or two ! The more time Gabriel spends with Nic the more possessive he gets and frankly Nic is definitely on-board with the thought of releasing his darker side. They might be bonded as Wizard and Familiar now but there's still the tricky situation with the all controlling and very powerful Convocation to deal with. The idealistic Gabriel still has a lot to learn but ever practical Nic is determined to lead him through those muddy waters and elevate House Phel back to greatness. This couple are quite simply pure magic together. From the very start it was easy to like Gabriel who tried so valiantly to charm and woo the female who he felt was in an impossible situation. He has definitely succeeded although to be fair pragmatic Nic is the sort to battle through regardless. I truly enjoyed meeting new characters as it was eye opening discovering how the role of a Familiar functions in this world where magic and status is all. Its not exactly a cliff hanger ending as strides are definitely made but there are still questions but alas I and my fellow readers will have to wait for the next book as this couple struggle on ever onwards and upwards but can they stay together ? This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

    Thanks for your feedback!
