  • Great series

Very entertaining novel. A series of arsons on antique shops and a death. Beverly goes behind Adam's back to help investigate. She uses disguises to hide her identity to get information. Beverly gets a threatening letter to back off the investigation. This novel will keep you interested throughout.

  • Another great mystery from BV

The 3rd book in this series, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Someone is burning down antique shops, and Adam is on the case. So is Beverly in her own way, involving the mysterious Mr X in her search for the arsonist. Once again a twisting tale, with many (false) leads and suspects. I received an arc copy of this book

  • another charm on the bracelet

"One link. One lead at a time." Someone is torching antique shops and Detective Adam Dutton is on the case, despite Sargent Moody...Meanwhile, Beverly Laborde is back in town. She and her shadowing friend Mr.X are doing their own investigating. Will they find the arsonist(s)? Are they in harm's way, especially after the warning she gets? In this, the third book in the series, our "dynamic duo" are hard at the investigation, each in their own way. BV Lawson has taken a chance setting this during the holidays and does it very sucessfully. I have become a big fan of this series and highly recommend it. 5/5 [disclaimer: I received this book as a gift from the author and have chosen to read and review it]

  • Action heats up, surprises keep coming

Read books 1 and 2 first or you’ll be lost in places. So many incidents happen in this book and the tension keeps building to the end. There was a shocking plot twist that I’d never even considered. The mayor has put his cousin in the police department and now Adam has that to worry about. Beverly is trying to stop the cons but just has to do it to help with the investigation with the assistance of Mr. X. Is she helping or hindering Adam’s efforts? This book brings the antiquities league storyline to a conclusion —I think! I really hope this series continues. I miss these characters already. This is a series I will definitely be rereading. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
