    Tara flexes her writing muscles!

I'm totally at a loss for words. Is there any genre Tara Sivec can't write well? I guess it just goes to show how talented of a story teller she is. This book completely took me by surprise. I knew going in it was dark, darker than anything Tara had written before, but I wasn't expecting anything like this. Don't get me wrong, the book is dark, but it's on that can't accurately be categorized. The story is full of mystery and suspense. I was hooked from the opening pages. I wanted to know who was being chased in the dark and why. Ravenna Duskin is piecing together the puzzle of her identity. She doesn't know who she is. All she knows is that she woke up without her memory. Everyone is telling her one thing while her mind and body tell her another. It was fascinating trying to watch her put together all of the pieces. I tried to do the same, however I wasn't as good as she was at finding out information. When the truth was finally out, my jaw was on the floor. I would've never in a million years guessed the truth behind Ravenna's memory loss. It was really, truly disturbing, so I'd say Tara did a fine job at playing mind games with me. I will say this, if you're one of those people who likes to read the end before the beginning, DO NOT. It will ruin the entire book for you. I really can't say much more without ruining the book, so if you're in the mood for a story that slowly builds to a fantastic climax and will totally mess with your head, pick up this book!
