    Bury the Lead

At the risk of repeating myself, David Rosenfelt is one great story teller. His writing style reminds me of Lee Child, but Andy Carpenter is no Jack Reacher. Andy is a smart mouth; in the courtroom he can crack a quip faster than a judge can pound his gavel, but when it comes to fighting he is fortunate to have Laurie, his girl friend at his back. Even Tara, his most brilliant dog in the whole world, and a lot of sidekicks have saved his bacon more than once. For mystery, suspense, humour, and doggie brilliance, read this book. 5/5 you.will enjoy it

    Funny + Fast-paced = Entertaining

I would have interviewed Andy Carpenter for this review, except that according to him: “My interviews would be better suited to the E! Network, providing ‘E’ stands for ‘evasive’. Or maybe the Sleep Channel, if there is one. What I should have done was brought Tara [his Golden Retriver] and gone on Animal Planet.” Once again, with his witty humour intact, David Resenfelt has managed to write a mystery/thriller/police procedural/courtroom drama novel that is witty and intensely suspenseful at the same time. I can’t talk about any of the plot without spoilers, but I will say that just when you think everything has fallen apart, suddenly there’s a win only somehow that falls apart, too, and things look bleak once again. Then . . . well, I’m sure you get the idea. This one is like being on a really fast roller coaster – and it’s a fun, entertaining ride!!
