  • More of everything!

5 Stars More of everything! I was impressed by book 1, but this one tops it and I can't wait to read the next in the series! Riveting action from the start, and a straight continuation from the previous book; i know because i finished book 1 and IMMEDIATELY opened book 2! The same thing happened for book 3, but I'll save that for the appropriate review. So, we lose some main characters, but pick up new ones here. A LOT HAPPENS. Our protagonists have left the city on their quest(s) and visit several new locations. Some sea, some desert, and more. The world building is fantastic, and it's satisfying to meet the variety of peoples inhabiting this world. Some recurring themes are conflicting viewpoints and histories. Moving about this world, you visit much more xenophobic people, despite thriving travel and trade. Desert people hate demons and magic. Whoops. So much energy goes to hiding our intrepid heroes' identities. EVEN MORE than in book 1. Ugh. Which reminds me... Blossom is the biggest hero! She balances a lot of the bad luck the group trips over in this story. MORE PIXIE REPRESENTATION PLEASE! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Better than its predecessors

This was an excellent synopsis of the entire series. You could read it and know everything that happened in the entire series. Wish I’d read it first

  • Enthralling & Absorbing

Another awesome read. The writing is so well done...you can feel the magic, or the tension or the exhilaration. This book absorbs you right into the scenes. Sabine, the main character, is a wonderful heroine who's worthy of the big screen.

  • Not as good as book one

A good read but I felt I just wanted to know what happens at the end rather than enjoying each chapter. I am hoping for a exciting conclusion in the 3rd book.
