  • Call (Pied Piper retold) My favorite so far!

I think this is my favourite so far. I couldn’t put it down until it was done, then I wished it wasn’t over. I Love that both Sara and Zoticus are strong and, despite one of them bring an assassin, caring and honorable characters. They are going to save their people no matter what. After they take turns saving each other. And no one is allowed to take what belongs to them.

  • A Gifted Assassin

Zorticus was a well-known and feared assassin and he had his own code of honor and for him his job was to deliver justice. An intriguing and gifted character with disturbing visions that were leading him to seek answers. When a plague was wiping out the townspeople, his skills played an important role and his quest seemed to come to an end. I really liked the Zorticus character with his abilities and multiples resources. Sara was a strong, intelligent and capable woman who only wanted to protect her son and her village’s people, but she deserved something more. The way the author developed the plot captured my attention. The story was interesting, entertaining and intriguing with action, suspense, magic, strong emotions, violence and passion. Good descriptions and narrations that allowed me to visualize what was happening. The ability of the author to give her personal twist and intertwine the characters in each of her stories continues to amaze me.

  • Oh My!

I received an arc and the opinions and views are my own. Oh My! What an excellent retelling of the pied piper who is an assassin! Zoticus is an assassin and has been in two previous books. He has helped out Godfrey and his sister Melisende and now he is trying to right a wrong. The plague is going through the towns and he is trying to get rid of the rats and ships that started it. He also finds something he wasn’t looking for. I so enjoyed this book and would read it again. I would recommend this book to all.

  • Brilliant

Another superb retelling of an old fairy tale. This one covers Zoticus the assassin and Sara the widow who owns a large area of land. The plague is descending and killing everyone in its path. Can the assassin save the villagers and realise his vision. Brilliant story telling. This can be read as a standalone. I received a free copy from the author but I am voluntarily leaving my review.

  • Entertaining story

This was an entertaining, well-written book. This was an updated version of the Pied Piper fairy tale. It was clever and funny with action, intrigue and passion included. I enjoyed this retelling and look forward to reading more books by this author.
