    Loved it

Not sure what I wanted to read when I picked this up, but this turned out to be exactly what I wanted. Even though no one's family is quite like the author's, anyone reading this could relate to it. My mother would have really enjoyed it.

    Calypso

Absolutely loved this book. This is the first book that I have read by this author. I'am going to be reading all of his works. It was just such a good laugh on human behaviour.

    Worth reading twice

Hadn't come across this author before. We could not be more dissimilar, yet he made me laugh time and time again. Wonderful book, will be looking for more by David Sedaris.

Great read! Be prepared to laugh out aloud!

This is my first David Sedaris book and I literally laughed out aloud especially the beginning parts..as the book progressed, the stories seemed to revolve more around using humor as a defense mechanism for dealing with the inevitable facts like aging and death, which were also well-written!

    Fair read

Very imaginative text with good use of modern language.
