  • An Exciting Page-Turner!

What could be worse than being on a narrow ledge and trying to keep yourself and two small children from falling to the canyon below? How about being on that ledge and not knowing who those children are, but even worse, not remembering who YOU are? All Annie Tillman does know is that someone is trying to kill her, and she needs to find who it is and why she is a target! Canyon Survival is a thrilling, hair-raising story with a heroine who has amnesia, a hero with a painful secret, and two adorable children who may be victims of a child-trafficking ring. Danger, adventure, and surprises galore make this a book that you won't want to put down! I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

  • Love Inspired Suspense

Annie (Stormy) Tillman wakes up lying in the dirt and instantly knows she is in a dangerous situation. She has no idea who she is, how she ended up on a cliffside with two young children, or why she is being shot at. She only knows she needs to get the children to safety. Former FBI agent Riggs Brenner had quit law enforcement and moved to Palo Duro Canyon after his wife and daughter died. He felt like had let them down by not keeping them safe. He didn’t want to get involved in whatever was going on with Stormy. But his protective instinct kicks in as they try to outrun the gunmen and keeping the children and Stormy alive becomes his priority. This book starts out fast-paced and intense which continues until the very end. It’s packed with action, twists and turns, intrigue, and danger that will have you on the edge of your seat. Stormy and Brigg’s pasts were filled with heartache and guilt but they both hold on to their faith to get them through. This was a wonderful Love Inspired Suspense and I enjoyed reading it. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • Shot out of the gate, hangon, call on the Lord

First time author for me, and will be an auto. Intense, child trafficking, amnesia, ex FBI. This shot out of the gate and kept you running the whole time. Loved, loved, loved that before intense individual scenes they called on their faith. How many times do we do the same thing, even if we struggle? Something is bad, or going wrong, and we cry out to please help. Loved Shotgun (4 legged) that belongs to Riggs or ex FBI. Thoroughly enjoyed the interaction between Riggs, Kay-Kay bug, and Pardner. My heart melted. Stormy dealing with her past, trying to right the wrongs and remembering to call out for help. I absolutely loved that there were red herrings, someone I was sure was bad, wasn't. Someone who popped up towards the end, I thought might, and then there was the one that I knew, just knew was bad, and I was right. Such a wonderful mix. How many people read this book and then started google searching for Bring the Children Home Project or something similar? I have never bronco ridden, or bull ride, but it sure looks like what I have seen, shot out of the gate, hanging on for all I can, and calling on the Lord.
