  • Tough Cowboy, Tougher Nurse

Capturing the Texas Rancher's Heart is the first book in the new Tremaynes of Texas Series by Debra Holt. I say new but this story has an older feel to it in spite of it mentioning cell phones. Nurse Jamie Westmoreland moved to a small Texas town to work in the local hospital. Small town suits her just fine after her childhood trauma. Her past brings an element of mystery to this romance. It is not until late in the story that it all is made known. The intrigue enriched this story. While Thomas Tremayne is tall, dark, and handsome his attitude is surly at best in the first part of the story. It took a while for me to warm up to him. He also has some tragedy in his past so as head of the family, he is overly serious and wary of others. He is a strong confirmed bachelor. However, his young son, Andy is love at first sight, Jamie felt the same. What a wonderful character as well as his dog, Jasper. This realistic slow burn romance has a sudden turn of events that bring danger and clarity to the mind of Thomas concerning his feelings about Jamie. The other Tremayne siblings are introduced too with me now looking forward to their stories. An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • Deeply Emotional Story

Oh how I loved this story! If you enjoy feeling right along with the feelings of the characters, you have got to read this one. You’ll experience all the ups and downs, feel the loves and tears while you read. Every character only added to the deep emotional journey that you go on right along with them. My heart was so taken with this story that I absolutely hated getting to the end. It is one of those stories that will have you wanting to read the book over and over again. I received an advanced review copy for free from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving my review.

  • love this book

Look at the cover of this book and know you are going to be getting a fabulous Cowboy and his little man wonderful read inside. This is the first book in the Tremaynes of Texas series and we get Thomas the single dad of Andy first. Nurse Jamie takes care of him and while she is taking care of Thomas we get to know all about the entire family. I adore this father and son combo and how they have so many people in their lives that help them and are families even if it is not by blood. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series.

  • Super Cute!

What a sweet read. I absolutely loved Jamie and Thomas. Both of them were still working out problems from their pasts. Thomas was really afraid to let another woman into his life after what happened with his ex-wife. Jamie was trying to hide away from her past. Both were unsure of what to do but the chemistry between them was hot. When you throw Andy, Thomas son the book became so much more. That little boy stole the show away from everyone. Andy knew what he wanted from the very beginning he just needed to convince his dad and Jamie. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

  • Nice read

This was a cute read, with the sweetest & most polite little boy playing matchmaker for his dad. Jamie is Thomas’s nurse & more than surprised by her feelings for the surly rancher. They both have lost someone dear to them & guard their hearts. When the past comes back for Jamie, Thomas is struck with the truth of his feelings for Jamie. I enjoyed the slow build of this story giving Thomas & Jamie the life they both deserved. Thank you to Tule publishing for letting me read this book for an honest review.
